ignore the title of this google doc because it's a long story but it's a really solid recipe for southwest chicken alfredo

this is a vegetarian potato curry recipe that's about 75% spices; once you get the potatoes in there you can really do whatever you want with it

this is literally just pasta, broccoli, and cheese babey and you can live off that shit for DAYS it makes such a big portion

bro this spinach/pesto/3 cheese flatbread is so fucking tasty bro

also you can make the flatbread yourself it's super quick!!

oh hey I'm eating this white chickpea chili right now, much like the curry it's mostly spices and you can do p much do whatever you want with it

don't let the name fool you these potatoes are delicious any time. not just breakfast.

this is slightly more than five ingredient when you add them together but if you have time and really wanna fuckin treat yourself I recommend these chicken strips + this cornbread + either these potatoes or these buttered veggies on the side.

this recipe for gogumabap (sweet potato and rice) saved my life when i couldn't eat hardly anything for a long time. the recipe itself calls for a heavy bottomed pot but you can absolutely use a rice cooker and put the rice and diced sweet potato in together and just let the machine do its thing

Up front, the cooking is about an hour for the basic bird, but it's actually like, five minutes of actual work and then waiting for an hour, and if you're just one person, you can then make about 6 more fast meals out of it.

Basic chicken roasting (with roast potatoes) which can become chicken potato salad later, or a curry, or pretty much anything you toss already cooked chicken into. The instructions are long and presume zero previous experience with cooking, it literally takes longer to read through them than it actually does for me to get a chicken into the oven.

Okay I don't know if anyone still needs this but I got a couple of things:

So when my mom didn't know what to make for dinner, she made either dump soup or meatloaf. The first one is exactly what it sounds like, whatever veggies, proteins, pasta, ect that needs to be eaten goes into a pot together (I just made one with tortellini, penne pasta, ground turkey, boullion cubes, and a stir-fry mix of veggies). Meatloaf is self-explanatory as well. I think it's just a pound of ground beef/turkey, an egg, some milk, either breadcrumbs or stale bread, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire if we had it, then top with a mix of ketchup and brown sugar. I think the oven temp was 350 for about an hour.

When I am lazy and don't really want to cook, some of the food I fall back on are quesadillas (you can do taco meat or leftover lunch meat), TikTok Ramen (TikTok Ramen (Easy Recipe) - Insanely Good), or crustless quiche with pancake mix, which is also a great way to eat up leftovers. (this is not the recipe I use but this should work- The Bisquick Impossible Quiche Recipe - The Kitchen Magpie)

actually this is funnier if there are multiple wizards involved. the 12-year-olds combine their knowledge and realize the wizards are operating as a unified corporate entity...so then of course they have to go on a Quest To Meet The Monarch to ask the Crown to rule on this previously undeclared power bloc. which in a feudal fantasy world causes all sorts of political intrigue! none of it good

someone fired a bullet through our bathroom wall the other day when we were gone, which is scary (but probably accidental), but the weirdest part is that we can’t actually find the place where it entered from outside... the wall inside is fucked up and you can see the hole where it came through, but there is no corresponding entrance hole on the exterior of the house. somehow the outer paneling was undamaged.

I think the exterior of the house is asbestos siding which apparently hides bullet holes really well.

There’s also a dent on the opposite wall where the bullet bounced off, and it looks like it had a really bizarre trajectory. Anyway, the neighbors say it was from a car chase where bullets went flying everywhere, so I’m not actually worried beyond “wow hope that doesn’t happen near me again”.
