This gardening project is unfortunately not a cheap one as we have long-term plans and as everyone, we have regular expenses. So we created a gofundme as we need more tools, mulch, storage in the cellar and eventually a greenhouse and maybe even more land so we could provide even more food for the community. It is not about having a profit out of this fundraiser, but to get back at least some of our expenses we spent, and going to spend along the way.

In our neighbourhood, although everybody lives in houses with small gardens, almost noone has their own vegetables and fruits which really saddens me because why would you need than all that place? To have a swimming pool and lawn?
That means there is also very little biodiversity in the region. And as we know, there are always fewer and fewer pollinators worldwide and it is very important to change that, because if they disappear, we disappear with them.
Now that we started to practice the permaculture principles in our small garden we have so many different kind of insects in our garden! I saw only today at least 3 kinds of wild bees, 2 kinds of bumblebees and even 2 violet carpenter bees. Also, we've built birdhouses, one of them already in use by a great tit couple:
I know there are a lot of more important issues right now...But in our situation, the only thing we can make an impact on is our small community.
