On a scale of 1-10, how shitty was I treated?
BACKGROUND: I am a disabled woman (invisible disability) in a 10 year relationship with a man, no kids. We aren't married bc 1) we are both incredibly nonplussed by it and 2) my benefits would disappear. We decided to buy a house bc we both were in financially good places. My partner is the one whose financials are being considered as he makes better money with great credit and, again, we're not married.
Between us, i prepare and get things started while he joins about midpoint and follows through. We make a great team in that regard. So I reach out to a realtor we were recommended. Among lots of information being shared, we told him (realtor) that I will be on the title, but not on the mortgage at least twice. Well we find a house (🎉) within a week, offer accepted, fantastic inspection, things are looking great.
THE OFFENSE: instead of using the group text we'd exclusively been using, our realtor decided to message just my partner and ask him if he wanted me on the title. (Keep in mind they have never texted each other as i was the one that originally reached out).
