I don't get the hate for the Odessey (2026).
The biggest critique I've seen here on Tumblr is the lack of the 'nobody' scene. And while, yes, I am also a bit disappointed, it's far from a dealbreaker.
The second complaint I've seen was about the cast of characters. "Where are Posiedon and Zeus?" They are in the entire movie. They do not appear in human form, but they are there from the start.
Another thing I've seen people mention is how the story is told. I personally despise this complaint. It's called non-linear storytelling, not 'bad writing'.
And, on the topic of storytelling. It's all a big game of telephone, isn't it? With every retelling, details change. And then those retelling get retold, with their own details changing. That's why I love myths and folklore and the like. And interacting with every retelling I can find. Because every one is different, no matter how badly they try to be exactly faithful.
TL,DR: The odyssey is a story, stories change. Stop being afraid of change. Y'all are cowards.
