Ok, so I know this is a shot in the dark, and kind of stupid, but I recently watched this anime called Marudase Kintaro, since I recognized it as the worst Yaoi anime on MyAnimeList (a guy on YouTube made a series reviewing the worst anime from each genre).
Is it bad? Yes. Is it nine minutes of pure smut? More or less. But was it funny? Honestly, yeah. It’s terrible in an endearing/satirical way; It does technically have a plot, with the black haired dude Kintarou being the bodyguard of the pink haired dude (don’t remember his name) as a gang of evil guys from an opposing school try to marry him, but the short has so little time to work with that everything devolves into smut almost immediately. Still, it winds up being so over the top, it circles right back to being bizarrely humorous. (Besides, even if you did want to watch it exclusively for the smut, everything is censored, so it’s not full-on ecchi, just comical levels of horny. It’s the anime equivalent of bashing two hot guys together for 9 minutes and I’m all here for it.) In that sense, I think it’s a good, or at least overbearingly entertaining parody of the Yaoi genre, but I really wish there was more to it.
There is manga for Marudase Kintaro, but as far as I can tell, it’s not easy to come by. The few listings for physical copies were already sold on eBay, and after checking at least 15 different manga websites, including the Internet Archive, I couldn’t find it anywhere online, even just to preserve it. I don’t want to sink a lot of cash into it, since this is very much on a whim, but if anyone knows where/how to read this, any help would be greatly appreciated!
