No!!!!!
Goyim literally saying "go back to where you came from" like the communities people left were healthy and safe. I had the pleasure of knowing two holocaust survivors in particular who were sisters - two siblings of four siblings. They were from Frydek-Mistek. At the end of the holocaust, those 4 siblings were the only four Jewish survivors from that city. None of the siblings landed in or settled in the same country as any of the others. They were literally scattered to England, Australia, Israel, and one other place that I don't remember.
Four people. Siblings. They totally should have gone back to the "community" - you know, all the non-Jews who definitely didn't sell out the Jewish community
Here's the wikipedia page for Frydek-Mistek. There is no mention that the Jewish population was completely liquidated. In fact, the only thing the Germans apparently did was join the once separate towns.
Frydek-Mistek Wikipedia
The last Jews of Syria were rescued by Israeli commandos in 2015, because they lived in Aleppo and were all elderly.
Lebanon has 20 Jews left.
Yemen has 1 Jew left, in prison facing torture for helping one of the last Jewish families in Yemen to escape with a Torah (funnily, there is huge protest now among English speaking "activists" that Israel has stolen Yemeni artifacts because 60000 Yemeni Jewish artifacts were accepted by an Israeli museum. Literally "You are stealing Yemeni heritage!" the clownishness of that statement cannot be overstated.)
It goes on and on. Every country in Asia, North Africa, and Europe is like this, every single one. FRANCE has the largest population of Jews in Europe, and the population has shrunk 70% since the 1970s DESPITE receiving 120,000 Algerian Jews who were fleeing Algeria.
Y'all actually think Jews up and left to "settle" in an equivalent place to where we were. There is nowhere on this green earth that was good / safe soil for Jews that Jews willingly abandoned to go to Israel. People left upwards of 1000 year old Jewish communities because it's bad *everywhere* for Jews, and the goyische tears won't stop flowing. Like, I'm begging you, there is more history here to read than social media and the news can provide, and you have to wrap your arms around actually quite a bit of it (and not just 20th century European history) to understand what the hell is going on.
I don’t fucking care!!! Stop killing the Palestinians!!
People who don’t care can’t understand this conflict at all. Stick your fingers in your ears and scream at the top of your lungs - and you’ll always understand this problem like a child.
This is what Israel is doing. But you’re right I’m the childish one 🙄🖕
Hamas killed and kidnapped children - and the world cheered. Your boos mean nothing to me. My post was talking about the thousands of Jewish communities that were terrorized and destroyed on three continents, and you thought popping in and showing your ass was the answer.
The goyim are gonna goy.
Guys… you know a colony needs to have a home country, right??? Oof this must be a lil awkward for all of you who have been calling israel a colony and Israelis colonisers… sorry about that. I just try to be accurate with the words I use, I know that’s not very popular. Clearly it’s more trendy to ignore definitions. Like how you’ve been calling what’s happening in Gaza a genocide. You know you could just look up definitions of things before making yourself and the point you’re trying to make sound stupid by using words incorrectly. Idk just a suggestion 🤷🏻♀️
I had to tell a white woman the other day “unfortunately for, apparently, your entire geopolitical philosophy—words have meaning, some experiences are objectively worse than others, and you are part of the problem.”
Yes. Have YOU considered that sometimes working on hard things is both necessary and worthwhile?

I keep toying with writing this, because words are hard and I'm not sure how to fully articulate this thought.
However, it's something I've sensed very deeply and I think it's important to start trying to talk about.
Much has been said about how traumatic Oct. 7th was for Israelis and really Jews the world over, and lots has been said about why that was - from the fact that it happened on what was supposed to be a joyous holiday, the fact that this violence was as barbarous and sadistic as it was, the fact that it drew on deep historical wells of intergenerational trauma, to the fact that it was met with immediate denial, betrayal, and even celebration from supposedly progressive goyim - but something I have not seen much discussion on is how that ongoing denialism and even celebration of the carnage made sure that the trauma stuck.
See the thing is that one of the best predictors of favorable recovery outcomes from trauma is the support the victim receives, especially in the immediate aftermath. Victims with strong support networks, who are believed and whose grievances are taken seriously, recover much faster and much more holistically even from objectively worse traumas than victims who lack support and/or whose traumatic experiences are denied or dismissed. Seems obvious enough, right? That's why advocates for survivors exhort communities to listen to survivors and victims, and to hold space for them. We know what happens when that support is denied.
In some ways, the Jewish people is like a horrible case study in what happens when that denial of support happens - not just on a large scale, but over the course of time through numerous generations. In every generation they come for us, and every generation has the opportunity to step up. And so far, every generation has failed the task. (There are of course, some wonderful individuals who do step up; however they are the exception that proves the rule.)
The sadistic celebration of atrocities committed against Israelis and the denialism were not just unpleasant side concerns - these were active components of the violence.
The bottom line is this: if you deny the atrocities of Oct. 7th and the ongoing hostage crisis or try to excuse or downplay them, you are actively participating in violence against us.
And yes, of course these atrocities do not justify atrocities in return. Yes, of course confirming facts is important. But I think a big part of why we can't "just move on" to talk about other atrocities is because you people have never acknowledged our pain or let us grieve or be human. Not once. And the longer that goes on, the deeper the wound and the longer the road to healing from this trauma gets.
Hope you don't mind a bit of add on due to my own experiences with PSTD and what I've learned regarding how it happens; it will absolutely add to your point.
Ok, so PSTD doesn't set in right away when you experience trauma. You actually tend to get something called Acute Stress Disorder and this period lasts for about a month. It is absolutely critical during this time to have support; once it goes to PSTD you are mostly stuck with it because by this time, your brain has actually experienced damage. No joke.
Meaning, back in Oct to early Nov, Jewish people and Israelis the world over should have gotten support from friends/allies/etc to help them with the severe trauma Oct 7th caused. That immediate help would have done WONDERS for them.
But they didn't because instead, too many friends/allies/etc didn't just deem them unworthy of any help; they actively have been adding onto that trauma. Now we have another generation with PSTD and the shit that goes with it, continuing the generational trauma and fall out from that (including higher potential for descendants to acquire PTSD from traumatic events and other 'fun' stuff)...and it's only going to get worse because again, that lack of support/adding on of trauma is only getting worse.
"The bottom line is this: if you deny the atrocities of Oct. 7th and the ongoing hostage crisis or try to excuse or downplay them, you are actively participating in violence against us."
And now that you (non Jewish people, non Israelis) have been told twice (first Unbidden-Yidden, now me) about how exactly you are causing damage, there's no excuse.
*Note-trauma, recovery, etc is different from person to person. As is PSTD and how that affects day to day life.
Thank you for adding this; I didn't have the energy to research sources for this, but rather spoke from a place of someone who has trauma and works with survivors professionally (and thus have been to many trauma-informed care trainings.)
Seriously, I appreciate it so much.
Oh and this, by the way, is why Holocaust denial is illegal in some places - it's not that "you can't criticize Jews because New World Order something something Protocols" - it's because denying the Holocaust, one of the most well-documented genocides in history, is a form of violence against especially direct survivors but their descendants as well.
(It's also a way to avoid incitement, of course, as well.)
Proper boundaries

Here are some examples of boundaries that aren’t actual boundaries.
Not A Boundary: “You can’t email me on the weekends.”
A Proper Boundary: “If you email me on the weekend, I will not respond until Monday.”
-
Not A Boundary: “You can’t talk to me like that.”
A Proper Boundary: “If you talk to me like that, I will hang up the phone.”
Not A Boundary: “You need to respect my time.”
A Proper Boundary: “I will end the meeting at the scheduled time.”
-
Not A Boundary: “You need to be more considerate and thoughtful.”
A Proper Boundary: “I would like you to do these specific things for me and if you don’t, that’s okay, but I will not invest more time I to [sic] this relationship.”
Not A Boundary: “You need to show up on time.”
A Proper Boundary: “If you are late, we will not wait for you.”
-
Not A Boundary: “You need to give me less work.”
A Proper Boundary: “I will not work more than 50 hours a week.”
Not A Boundary: “You need to do a better job.”
A Proper Boundary: “If you don’t make these three specific improvements by the end of the quarter, I will give you a negative review.”

Boundaries are not mandates for other people to follow.
Boundaries are not demands.
Boundaries are not expectations.
Boundaries are not ultimatums.
Boundaries are not idle threats.
Here’s what a boundary is…
-
It’s a particular course of action YOU take to take care of yourself when a particular set of circumstances arises.
That’s it.
It’s about what YOU do.
Not about what THEY do.
Ever.

I wish more fanartists would put their work on AO3. Just followed an artist who organizes their work by making a series for Fandom X, and within that, they have multi-chapter works for different ships & gen. Every new chapter is just their latest image for that subject.
It's been so delightful not to have to wade through social media algorithms and endless ads.
If you've never posted fanart on AO3 before, you need to know that AO3 doesn't host images. That means you need to upload them somewhere else online and then embed them in your post. There's an FAQ that tells you how.
Provides free image upload and hosting integration for forums. Free picture hosting and photo sharing for websites and blogs.
You can also upload your meta works to AO3! Got a 5K essay on cultural appropriation in Dragon Age? Or a multi-part work on queer subtext in the X-Men broken down by writer and era? Post it - we love to see it!
Fanfic may be the biggest part of the archive, but that’s not all it’s there for!
Yes yes yes yes!! And may I encourage people to use this tagging system:
"metafiction" - for self-aware fiction "meta analysis" - fannish nonfiction (also consider the "Essay" tag!)
Makes it easier to differentiate under the "meta" tag umbrella!
You can also post your fanvids there as well! Just make sure to host it somewhere else first (YouTube, video, etc)
My only rebuttal to this idea is many artists make money off their work and if your AO3 is connected back to any accounts on which you advertise or make money from what is hosted you jeopardize the legal standing on which AO3 operates so if u make money off your art maybe Dont. or get very, very familiar with their terms of service and such.
All fannish creatives are subject to the same rules regardless of chosen medium.
Ao3 TOS: "Linking to your personal page (not, for example, an Amazon author page) is fine, even if the personal page includes some items for sale, but the Archive is not advertising space."
❌ AO3 > Patreon ✅ AO3 > Tumblr > Patreon
I was under the impression that meta was either not allowed by the rules or deeply frowned upon? I posted one once and have always felt really bad about it. That's not the case?
If anyone gives you grief about posting meta, you can point them to ao3's TOS bc they are demonstrably wrong in that claim.
