i AM taking my vacation day tomorrow but also i put in so much overtime this week that i'm only abt 2 hours short of my full 37.5weekly required hours... waste of good vacation hours

how to politely convey to the 22 yr old thats been in my dept for like 3 months that when i send him a "high priority" email and ask him to complete a task before the end of the day, I really need him to at least acknowledge that he's seen it. Or be at his desk any of the times that i stop by to ask how its going.. i can feel my friday vacation day slipping away 😕

hopefully i won't be killed for saying this but i'm starting to feel optimistic that i won't have to cancel my vacation day tomorrow. Maybe everything IS going to be okay...
