i cant believe this might be a controversial opinion to some, but you cannot be a fan of a show if you've never watched the show
you cannot be a fan of a book if youve never read the book
you cannot be a fan of a character if youve never interacted with the media they are from
"im a huge fan of this painter! ive never seen their art but ive seen so many people copy it!!" thats what you sound like
"im a huge fan of this band! ive never heard any of their songs but ive seen some of their merch!!"
its like saying a random streamer is your friend when you only know their online persona and dont actually know what they're like as a person and you dont even watch their streams
just watch the show, read the book, look at the art
