Being that I am trying to attempt recovery, my posts from now on are going to have what some may see as “positive” or “optimistic.” This is very different from my typical negative outlook on life. I am truly trying to shift my perspective this year and so far, I really have felt the difference.
Even though it’s only been two or three days of me consciously changing my thoughts and beliefs, doing so has ultimately allowed me to change my behavior and freed me from the shackles of my old mindset.
It’s not easy. I have several mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression (disorders that sadly many of us possess), which adds extra punches to those that life already throws. I have cried at least three times in the last two days. but I have consciously decided to get up every time in order to chase my dream of becoming the person I aspire to be.
You can do it. We can do it.
