- deeply emotionally dysregulated. Namgyu can’t and won’t communicate how he feels and expects you to just somehow know. His emotions are all over the place, quick to get angry but also fast to come down from it.
-when there is an argument, he doesn’t understand why you can’t get over it like he has. Once he is done with it, he expects you to be done too. doesn’t see the point of bringing it up again.
-After an argument, Namgyu genuinely wants to make things right because he knows he upset you but apologizing in words isn’t his style. Instead, he shows it through actions: buying your favorite flowers, taking you to that date you’ve been wanting, or cooking for you. [ i hc that he actually knows how to cook but its very lazy about it]
-Namgyu does try to stay sober because he wants to get better for you. mostly weed he uses but when he relapses, he is literally begging and crying not to leave him, that he can do better, just a moment of weakness but this time he will get help. [he won’t]
-for the most part, Namgyu does try to stay clean. He even quit being a club promoter and got a boring admin job! Until Thanos drags him to Club Pentagon and he promises he won't do drugs. He will just drink. And he does try. But 10 minutes later he’s in the bathroom doing lines.
-Namgyu is not a cheater. He may be a bad bf and he is very much aware of that. But he will never cheat on you. He truly believes you're the best thing that ever happened to him [not that he will tell you] and he may have done horrible things in the relationship but cheating is not one of them. He knows if he cheats, you will leave, and he can’t bear the thought of losing you.
-Namgyu is extremely clingy but not in a physical-touch way. He doesn’t need constant hand holding or cuddles; he just wants to be near you. Proximity alone calms him and helps him be grounded. As long as you’re within sight or earshot, he doesn’t care what you’re doing.
-But when he takes a nap or goes to sleep, he wants to hold you close to his body or wants you to hold him as he lays his head on your chest and you play with his hair. Probably the only time he seeks physical contact.
-has the worst memory due to drug use, so you often have to remind him of important dates and anniversaries. He does plan them, though, he just forgets until he sees you getting ready in the bathroom. Then he’s like, “Oh… we had a date?” and scrambles to get ready.
-homebody boyfriend. Namgyu prefers to stay in. he really doesn’t care what y’all do, could be legos, watching tv, baking … well you’re baking and he taste testing. It is easier for him to stay inside.
-but if you manage to get him out of the apartment, he prefers lowkey dates that aren't crowded or require talking. Grocery shopping, walking around the park, trying that new coffee shop or bakery.
-the most “social” outing he will do is local concerts or music festivals. He loves music a lot but he can’t handle the overcrowded ones where bodies are pushed together so he prefers the smaller ones with new or local artists.
-he really does love you. And on the back of his mind where all his feelings are buried and locked away .. he wants to marry you and have a family but he believes he doesn't deserve any of it, including you. So he pushes you away at times because it will hurt less if he never let you in fully and you leave because you finally saw how bad of a person he is, right?
