ididn’t get an actual count but there were WAYYYY too many channels and half of them were so fucking specific, such as #food, #recipes, #eurovision, etc.

the organization was fucking bizarre. you couldn’t comment on fanart in the fanart channel, you had to go to the fanart-appreciation channel (which on some level makes sense as there are 7 thousand people in there, but it’s still just stupid and funny)

if you get remotely off topic you get told very coldly by a mod to go to a different channel. my friend made a joke about pasta and was told to take it to #food. if you talked about a concept in a piece of fanart in the fanart-appreciation channel, you were told to stop spamming and go into #tma or something EVEN IF NO ONE NEEDED THE CHANNEL

the no swearing rule extends to being remotely aggressive or any sort of controversial discussion. again this wouldn’t be so terrible if it didn’t mean you couldn’t make any jokes with your friends. this makes the conversations in there... so fucking boring. my british friend was making fun of britain and jokingly gave everyone the pass to also make fun of britain and was told that wasn’t their place.

you could, however, make the threat to eat someone which i was told like three times for making Chaotic Takes. the lack of swearing means ppl resorted to tumblr insults in there

you can’t have any... well, friends i guess. but maybe because they just hated us LOL. if you had a conversation with just one person (not in an excluding way, you just happened to be talking to one person in that moment) a mod would tell you to take it to the dms. if you had the audacity to @ someone or tell an inside joke, you were told you were being exclusionary. i’m p sure it was because they were trying to get rid of my friends at this point, but it was such a bizarre angle to take.
