getting kicked off love island for just swimming in the pool and not talking to anyone
my friend competed in a Survivor knock-off reality tv contest on a tropical island, and he did exactly this. While everyone was scheming and forming cliques and voting strategically to get rid of the others, he just floated in the sea for weeks.
Weeks into the show they had to like, reintroduce him in the editing because he had just been absent from the show till then; "remember this guy? he's also still here". They started with 60 people or something, and he made it to the final 6, where he lost a balancing game.
It was very funny to watch the crappy show just to see my friend, because most episodes he just didnt feature at all. He didn't stress about winning the big prize or anything, he just treated it as a vacation where he got to chill out for two months and get paid for it. A real icon.
The time honored tradition of turning your prep friend into a #goth
made this one for pride last year.

"Thanks for walking me home."
Washington Post is paywalling the article but it looks like Taylor Farms — a consumer bagged salad brand that also supplies produce to grocers and fast food chains like Taco Bell, Walmart, McDonald's, Chipotle, Burger King, KFC, and Meijer —may be at least one of the sources of the current cyclosporiasis outbreak.
Taylor makes bagged greens, salad kits, chopped salads, the works. Keep avoiding supermarket greens, but keep an especially close eye out for this brand/supplier. The above list of grocers and fast food chains is NOT exhaustive, so please continue getting lettuce and other raw produce taken off your burgers, sandwiches, etc.

I like to think that at least a handful of other people pieced together the 9th word/wish world/Tardis/Rogue thing, and just didn't post about it. I mostly end up imagining the Clever Twelve-Year-Old who's supposed to be the show's ideal target audience. Because it's not like I was posting about it as a kid when I predicted who "RAB" was on the locket or whatever. I was just very seriously pondering it at recess. So maybe they're out there. Pondering.
hey, i'm really interested in your reading that kris and noelle going out of bounds is going to drop them in undertale and split kris into frisk and chara, and that it's possible even the normal route will end similarly. related to this, i want to ask, what do you think of "the only human" theory? (basically the theory that frisk and chara are the same person all along) (if you're not familiar: tumblr(.)com/shiftersinc/781185239661805569/the-only-human-document)
thank you! And sorry about the delay, it took a couple days for me to get around to reading the linked theory
(To summarize for anyone else reading:) "The Only Human Theory" is basically a reading that Asriel was wrong at the end of the pacifist route, and Frisk and Chara are actually the same person. As in: Frisk is actually Chara's zombie. The player's soul and determination reanimated the vessel of Chara's corpse.
I'll admit I was a little skeptical going in, but I was surprised by how much textual evidence there was for it. Frisk's bandage, and the "mummy wrappings" in Chara's empty coffin. The detail of the other 6 humans seemingly rising from their graves offscreen after Asriel frees their souls. The fact that we never actually see Frisk fall, and just find them en medias res standing on top of Chara's grave. The fact that Asriel openly suggests that Chara has risen from the grave in the no mercy run, and seems to believe this in every run except the final scenes of true pacifist (where he's not necessarily any more of a reliable narrator). "You tell a story about a kid who played in the dirt," "It's as comfortable as it looks [while checking Chara's coffin]," etc. And the idea that the name "Frisk" could be Chara choosing a new identity after the player shakes their worldview in true pacifist, rather than asserting that they were never Chara to begin with.
And there's a pretty clear link to Kris being repeatedly referred to as a "zombie." As well as Toby's comment that Varik is supposed to be dead by the end of the Halloween Hack, with only the player keeping his body moving.
So. Very (very) interesting! And the idea that the Undertale player was piloting a corpse all along could definitely have resonance with the Deltarune player getting Kris killed but producing the Undertale reality in the process, yeah.
Okay I'm also thinking about Flowey renaming himself because he feels like a fundamentally different person after his (un)death, and Chara choosing their own new name that starts with an F to match.
And in the pacifist run, Frisk presumably takes the player soul with them, which keeps their body alive and gives them a second chance at life on the surface. But they're still only "borrowing" the soul, and the player could take it back at any time.
...unless, of course, the player chooses to sell their soul to Chara after the no mercy run. In which case the "soulless pacifist" ending...might actually be the "fairest" one? In that it's the only ending where we truly grant Chara/Frisk the freedom to be their own person
(And whether they go on a murder spree on the surface, or just prank us and then go eat a pie like Kris did, is up to them)
Okay and how about: Kris sells their soul trying to bring Dess back in that ritual with Catti -> Dess comes back as the Knight, while Kris is left in the same soulless state as Flowey (which mostly manifests as them acting depressed) -> the player takes over the "empty" vessel of Kris's body. Which puts Kris in the frustrating position of getting their emotions back just as they lose their autonomy
