It's truly so funny because I literally don't even think I've met that many men who ship this in the first place (and frankly, even if I had...I still don't care? They're allowed to ship whatever they want for whatever reason they want too). if one line can completely recontextualize the plot of an entire movie that is genius. it is not a “weird writing decision”. I’m talking about ginger snaps, which is a movie about incest, not a movie with a weird incest line at the end for some reason.

I like that Gwencelot moment from some of the classics: Morgan Le Fay brought to Camelot some enchanted object (I remember it was a chalice). She wanted to expose Guinevere's affair with Sir Lancelot before King Arthur; touching of this chalice would reveal the truth of Guinevere's cheating. But Guinevere bravely took the item of magic in her hands: her love to Lancelot was so true that even magic couldn't blame her.

All these Morgan's fruitless attempts to expose Guinevere's vice before Arthur can be read as: "Look, Arthur, she is bad and unworthy of your love, she has betrayed you. I would never... Choosing her over me was your greatest mistake...."
