One time I was sitting on my parents couch looking out across the garden, and at the far end I saw a strange black shape moving up the trunk of a tree. No squirrels where I'm from so this was Weird(tm). My first thought, genuinely, was that it might have been a demon. I didn't have my glasses, so I got up and walked in a deadly straight line towards the tree without taking my eyes off the Not Squirrel to figure out what it was. When I got there, I found a bird crawling up the tree like it was Spider-Man, fully acting like this was a normal thing for birds to do. I went to an identifier page but there was no filter for "thinks it's a squirrel". I told the story to my grandma later that day and she said "oh, a Tree Creeper"
