A small guide for people who struggle with this area
I thought this tutorial was pretty well done but the format was not so great for tumblr. So I broke it apart in Photoshop
Enjoy
@curdalert, asked me a few weeks ago,Ā āHow do you approach figure drawing?ā While this isnāt really figure drawing in the traditional sense. This is just me trying to show how I see the human form, how I simplify things for myself to understand it enough to move past all the bullshit and difficulty of drawing. Iām by no means an expert on anatomy. I donāt know all the ins and outs of every damn bone, ligament or muscle. Itās all too much. A lot of this I learned from sifting through tutorials and browsing the internet.Ā But figure drawing itself in the traditional sense is more about capturing the form. The force and flow of a pose. But I do keep a lot what Iām showing here in mind when Iām drawing from memory. I should however be doing a lot more life drawing, which is like zero at the moment. What Iām showing here can help de-mystify the human form a bit.Ā So basically, this little tutorial I threw together is really about these 3 SHAPES and how everything is a mix of those 3 shapes. No magic. No abiding by rules of how many heads fit into a body. Itās all just shapes. Hope this helps. If thereās anything else youād like to know, please send me more questions and Iāll do my best to answer them :)

A few tutorials on how I draw
My friends asked me for an tutorial
For Paint Tool Sai users. There should be plenty of guides on how clipper group, preverse opacity/opacity lock works so I wonāt be adding them here.
Excuse my lame English, Iām not a native speaker.
Hey friends!
Meg here for TUTOR TUESDAY! Just a quick beginning look at colors and some color theory! Iāve had a few recommendation for color palette stuff, so I hope this is a start! Paul has done some on color as well! If you have any recommendations send āem in here or my personal! Keep practicing, have fun, and Iāll see you next week!

A little process of how I draw lips š Hope itās useful! If there are any tutorials you want me to make, let me know :)

Iām guessing this question is referring to the grid in this pic
I use photoshop to draw the grid, hereās a quick tut
Thanks for asking!! @kaitexel
I made a thing! I was thinking about this for a few days - because I realized that when I was young, I was also frustrated about being given the same advice over and over - without really knowing what it meant!!
Hereās 5 techniques which I have done before which have helped me grow as an artist, which are good for 5-minute warmups or just straight up challenges for your sketchbook!Ā
Obviously, these are not the ONLY techniques - theyāre just the ones I find most fun! And maybe theyāre not the mostĀ ācorrectā ones out there, but itās better than another comic about practicing more, right?Ā
Good luck to everyone on their drawings!
did you find the pic? here it is anyway
YES!!!! this is the one, thank you so much!

Receding objects in perspective.
Have you ever been trying to draw tiles on a wall or on the floor in perspective, but notice that after youāve drawn them, they donāt look like theyāre all the same shape or size?Ā Well hereās a tutorial on how to fix that. Your picture probably looks like this, right?
Well, iām here to tell you how to fix thatā¦Letās start out with your basics.
The gray line is the horizon line, and the black dot is your horizon line. These are essential for the first steps of perspective. Without these, your perspective may turn out wonky and just not flattering to the eyes. Right now weāll work in One point perspective.
Now letās pretend weāll be drawing a hallway. Draw a vertical line where the edge of the wall is.
Now, from the tips of the bottom and top of your wall, youāre going to need to draw a line extending all the way to the vanishing point. If youāre working in photoshop you could either use the line tool, or shift+click. If traditional, youāll need to use a ruler.
Now that we have the wall thatās in perspective, itās time to draw the rest of the lines. here Iāve drawn the wall facing us thatās closest, the ceiling, the floor line, and the end of the hallway. ASSUMING that you are working in one point perspective, all vertical lines are straight and parallel to each other, and all horizontal lines are straight and parallel to each other.Ā
Now here I have erased the lines that extended beyond the back wall, and found the center point of the edge of the left wall. From there, you draw an extended line just as before towards your vanishing point.
now make a vertical line where your first ātileā is.Ā
now this may be a little hard to explain. Now youāre going to draw a line coming from the corner of the wall, through the corner where your line meets the tile you just drew, and all the way to the ground line.Ā
You see where these two lines meet? youāre going to draw a vertical line to the ceiling from here.
Like so!Ā
Now rinse and repeat! you should have perfectly even spaced tiles now! And if you have tiles on the ceiling
Just draw horizontal lines connecting to the vertical lines!
Now just erase anyhing you donāt need andā¦viola! Perfect tiles in perspective!! I hope this helps!! :D
