I’m an aspiring comic author and I love to art. It doesn’t typically matter to me what I art. I do digital, some traditional, and I also like to ✨write shit✨ (which doesn’t always get posted because I hardly finish anything) I am a serial shipper and like to make ocs to ship my (typically male???) comfort characters with, but I also doodle my own stuff too.

Bottom line: don’t take my shit and say it was yours. I also DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION FOR MY WORK OR OCS TO BE USED FOR ANY SORT OF AI NONSENSE, including character bots.

At risk of doxxing myself, my mom worked at a non-profit organization here in our state for most of my life — and my mom was the first female CEO of the organization in its very long history. And despite all of the things she did during her tenure, she was constantly belittled, ignored, and put down by the men in her company. Older men with more experience who had been passed over for the promotion, younger men who had under half of her experience in the industry and believed they knew better, women who she thought would have had her back against the pushback she received. And like Brenda Leigh, she was also dealing with her ongoing divorce when she was promoted.

So I was looking for reference materials tonight. And imagine my shock when I find my art from like 2020 or so in the first Google Image results!

Only…it’s not my art. It’s a low-resolution, copy-pasted image of my art from a site called The Superhero Database. The link to the art that I actually posted, the original image, doesn’t even show up in the Google Image search results.

So it looks like someone wanted to make a page about Vorvadoss or already had a page about it, and wanted art for the page. And I guess maybe pickings were pretty slim since he’s a really obscure deity, but they decided that mine looked good enough despite the sketchy background and the very obvious signature right by his head — so they decided to use it for the site.
