So, here are some live models that I've found who inspire the character of Kate. None really have the strawberry-blonde hair that I envision Kate having, but I think you can imagine well enough. 😆

With John and Alexia moving into the neighborhood and Lexi being best friends with Samantha, Kate "adopts" them both. She and John become good friends and is a surrogate mom to Alexia since Alexia's mother is no longer in the picture. Kate recognizes the good guy John is which highlights the deficiencies with husband, Bill. With mixed emotions and knowing she deserves better from her husband, she still tries to make it with Bill - especially for the kids' sake and preserving all the time and effort into their marriage that was once good and loving.

For those of you in the Sates - Happy Memorial Day weekend! I hope you have a great relaxing extended weekend.

This weekend, please try to remember that we celebrate Memorial Day as the closing of World War II. Victory Day elsewhere, celebrating the same, was earlier this month. These holidays are important to remember - especially now more than ever. WWII was a HUGE fight against fascism, tyranny, and genocide - much of what many of us around the world still face today. Remember those brave men and women who rose up and fought such evils to give us all a better life. May we never have to come to such extreme measures ever again.

Now, on to the update! 😀

I am slowly plugging away at the next chapter. I am finding I am having less and less private time to sit and write. Not only is work becoming a bear, but this new living arrangement I am in makes it difficult to find any quality alone time for just thinking, let alone writing, on such matters.

I do get ideas in my head at various time, and I can occasionally jot them down - generally, as I lay in bed at night trying to sleep. I keep my laptop in my bedroom for such instances. I do sometimes find an hour or two free where I can get a couple paragraphs written or if I'm lucky, and entire page! But it's not enough. Sorry.

Good news and bad news...

Context: My roommates, who are dear friends, and I came together to consolidate bills and save money in this horrible economy. Was going well and being social with them was good for my introverted loner self.

The Bad News: My roommates can't keep from fighting which affects all of us. 😭 So, we're all going our separate ways at the end of our lease towards the end of the year. 😢 That will mean more stress and more money out of my pocket for moving and I'll be living on my own once more and not saving as much money as I want or need. 😢😢

The Good News: Same thing, really - I'll be on my own once again and will have more alone time to sit, think, plan, and write. So, I should be able to get back to the normal schedule of getting these chapters out in 6 weeks (give or take).

Chapter 5 - A Frustrating & Fun February

John gets a few unexpected visits from someone very frustrated which only increases his own frustrations, but in a different way.  More frustrations surround Zoey’s birthday.  John and Alexia find some alone time.  And Valentine’s Day has new loving connections that is a fun time for the group.

Hi all. Thanks for patiently waiting for Chapter 5. I just finished the draft, but there is a section I may want to change. I need to read it again with fresh eyes to see if this is how I want the character to be portrayed in this part. So... just a little while longer before release. 😊

I just realized it's been a while since I've posted anything or given an update. Sorry about that. This month has been crazy busy. It's an insane time of year for work.

I had hoped to get Chapter 5 out by the end of the month, but that's not happening, obviously. I have been slowly plugging away at it - a few paragraphs here and there when I get the time and brain power to devote to it. I am about 3/4 the way through - currently at 16k words. So, another 4k-5k to go.

Chapter 4 - Kelly's Reward

For getting John a discount on the hotel rooms and letting him use her boyfriend Wally for his scheme – Kelly insisted on some alone time with Daddy and Alexia.  However, John brings two friends to play as well.

Chapter 3 - Hunting the Pride

With John still feeling the heartache over Donna and now Jessica too, he gets familiar advice that springs him into action.  Despite his plan for a little fun and revenge, one of the lionesses surprises him giving him an unforeseen opportunity.  Alexia’s homework brings unexpected fun. 

Settle in, this is another one at roughly 29.3k words. Lots of MILF action with some sexy taboo stuff as well. I hope you enjoy.

Kelly is the young woman about to graduate college who is the manager of a local hotel. She is also dating teenager, Wally, who Alexia and and John met one Valentine's Day.

Although, it's not a very "merry" or "happy" anything here with me this year. Unfortunately, my dog passed away and it's hit me hard. She's been my heart and soul for nearly 12 twelve years. So, I've been a vegetative mess these past few days.

I made good progress on Chapter 3, but that's come to a grinding halt, unfortunately. My push to get something to you all by Christmas isn't going to happen. Sorry. But I am close and I *hope* to get something out next weekend or by New Year's. No promises. But that is now the current plan.

2025 has been shitty. I can only hope 2026 will be better.
