Skeksis Breakaway Dagger Prop - Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction on Julien's Auctions, sold for $2,240 - Lot 202

"A foam Skeksis breakaway dagger prop from the prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Netflix, 2019). The prop is in two parts, with a built-in split present down the center of the blade. On the half with the hilt, the blade contains six small strips of orange tape with black dots drawn in marker on them. The strips of tape match each other's positions on either side of the blade. The sword features hand-painted detailing throughout.

Skeksis Left and Right Daggers Rodded Props - Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction on Julien's Auctions, sold for $5,120 - Lot 201

"Two resin Skeksis dagger props from the production of the prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Netflix, 2019). Each prop is hand-painted and contains two puppeteering rods fastened to their hilts. One of the rods on each dagger contains a strip of tape with handwriting that reads "LEFT" on one, and "RIGHT" on the other.

Arathim Threaders Puppets - Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction on Julien's Auctions, sold for $3,200 - Lot 200

"Three Arathim Threader puppets from the prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Netflix, 2019). Includes two magnetic "face" Threaders and one marionette Threader puppet with back fan. Each is comprised of hard rubber latex with hand-painted detailing and wire armatures inside for posing. The external extremities on each of the Threaders' leaf-like limbs also include wires inside. A magnet is installed on the inside of each Threader, specifically for the "face" variety, as these puppets would attach to the sides of Gelfling puppets (who also had a magnet placed inside of their cheeks) in order to control their minds.

The marionette puppet is a specific Threader in the show. In the eighth episode, "Prophets Don't Know Everything," Aughra (performed by Kevin Clash and voiced by Donna Kimball) heals a wounded Threader, which leaves red marks on its back fan, such as the ones painted here on the back fan of the marionette puppet.

Hero Thrushpog RC Puppet - Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction on Julien's Auctions, sold for $8,960 - Lot 199

"The hero, fully animatronic, radio-controlled Thrushpog puppet as seen in the third episode of the prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Netflix, 2019), entitled, "What Was Sundered and Undone." 

Built in England by the Animatronic and Creature Department for the series, this fully animatronic puppet is housed in a rubber latex shell with a poly-foam interior. The body of the puppet itself is a vacuform plastic shell covered in green-dyed textured fabric. Its head is silicone, with animatronic mouth and petals. A series of electrical wiring is still connected to the base of the shell. No electrical capabilities have been tested and the puppet should be presumed to be non-functional. Built into the interior of the body shell is a series of LED lights that go all the way up the neck of the puppet. In the episode, these lights illuminated after Deet (performed by Beccy Henderson and voiced by Nathalie Emmanuel) feeds the Thrushpog some Glow Moss, causing the inside of the Thrushpog (and all the other Thrushpogs around) to light up.

Two-Eyed Stickler Puppet - Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction on Julien's Auctions, sold for $6,400 - Lot 198

"A woodland creature, known as a "Two-Eyed Stickler," as seen in the fourth episode of the prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Netflix, 2019), entitled, "The First Thing I Remember Is Fire." During the pre-production of the series, puppet sculptors and fabricators took extra and leftover parts and components of other puppets to create dozens of background creatures to populate the vibrant world of Thra. This puppet was built by designer Wendy Froud.

This Two-Eyed Stickler puppet is comprised of a foam latex shell, with flocked arms, and detailing composed of fur and plastic aquarium dressing. Built underneath is a cable-driven mech toggle that allows the puppet to move back and forth.

According to The Dark Crystal Bestiary: The Definitive Guide to the Creatures of Thra (Insight Editions, 2020), Two-Eyed Sticklers are native to the Endless Forest and have poisonous hair. In the fourth episode of the series, the Podling Hup (performed and voiced by Victor Yerrid), is seen stopping Deet (performed by Beccy Henderson and voiced by Nathalie Emmanuel) from touching a Two-Eyed Stickler so she isn't poisoned.
