- If you were a bad person in source and are upset by what you remember doing, I hope you know it is not your fault. You did not choose to split off with those memories. You did not choose to do anything you remember. You didn't do anything wrong

- If you have certain relationships in your source, especially ones that are good and healthy, that are problematic or controversial in the shipping community, I hope you know that you are a real person. Those things people say about your source do not reflect you. You are a real person with real thoughts and feelings and it is not wrong that you have people you love, regardless of who that may be.

- If your source's media is harmful or bigoted, that does not reflect you. It is not your fault. You are not harmful nor bigoted based off of something you cannot control.

- If you choose to still consume your source despite it being problematic because it brings you comfort, I understand that. I do as well.

- If you choose to separate yourself from your source entirely and hate consuming it, that is also perfectly alright.

- Shout out to alters who have seen themselves on DNI lists in places like discord servers. You are a real person and you do not deserve to be dehumanized and treated like you are your source like that. You never hurt the people who put you on that list, and even if your existence somehow does trigger them that is their problem and does not reflect on you as a person. Going days without hearing anyone else that makes you question if you made it up? It happens! You aren't making things up!

Difficulties with switches? Whether you always struggle or your abilities vary and flutuate, that's normal! A lot of systems struggle with switches and it doesn't make you any less valid.

Do some or all of the other alters never listen to you? Do they go against the goals of the general system or disregard your opinions on what you should do? Systems are like that. Working together is hard.

You can be happy with these disorders. You can be happy to have these disorders. I would not exchange the others for the world. Joy can and does exist within this disorder.

For us, for me, it is found in the little things.

It is found in Damian demanding others acquire him chocolate milk, even though we are in the same body and he will still be walking to get it even if he is in co-consicousness and someone else is fronting. He complains and grumbles that it is different and threatens people until he gets his way.

He has demanded we purchase ourselves our own 2 litre bottle of chocolate milk instead of using the family one so he can drink out of the bottle.

He hates coffee but enjoys co-fronting with me more than enough to tolerate it when I drink it.

Joy is found when Mikey fell in love with his own circus apparatus that I am absolutely terrified of. It is found when he dramatically claims that the globe ball is the love of his life.

It is found when he forced me to try tightrope walking, even going as far as to force me to walk backwards, because he knows I wanted to even though it is certainly far more his area of circus activities.

It is found in co-fronting while he uses a rolla-bolla and being so proud of the progress he has made.

It is found when he light heartedly complains at me after we are in pain from aerials about how he does not understand how I find hauling our body weight around in the air a good time.

It is found in him refilling our waters for me before he switches out so I do not have to do so myself

It is found in all these little things and larger things too. This disorder, being a system, does not have to be miserable. It can be happy. It can be full of love. And that does not and never will deminish your struggles as a disordered system.
