Starting off my challenge to make 1 zine every week until march, it’s some of my favourite baby birds!

Another design is using 2 20x25x1 filters, taping them to the sides of the box fan and then to each other so they sort of make a triangle, then cutting cardboard to make a top and bottom to the triangle.

This was discovered as a more effective design during the 2020 US west coast fires.

"The hat is customizable," he said, struggling with the velcro patch on the front. "If I need it, I have an ICE one too. I pick based off the business i walk into."

"Customizable is an important hat descriptor," I said. "what can I get you?"

"You wouldn't believe how offended people get these days," he said. "And I'm supposed to do something about it if you're offended? You chose to be offended!"

"We all have hundreds of thousands of decisions everyday," I said. I thickened my accent. "That's what my stepdad always said. But I can make one easier - we have a delicious Ethiopian roast available."

"Like if I told you you have a bull ring," he said, "because bulls have rings in their noses. Is that offensive?"

I laughed. "I've heard that before."

"It's a joke, but people get offended. Maybe you're offended."

I looked at him. I smiled. "You aren't trying to offend me though, right?"

Of course he was. I was being friendly and the friendlier I was, the faster he switched topics. He was saying anything inflammatory he could think of to see if I'd take the bait. After about 20 minutes of my redirecting and deescalating, he settled into a more normal interaction. He took up too much of my time showing me a product I'd feigned mild interest in to get him to stop talking about getting accused of inappropriate behavior at work. When we finally disengaged, he spent 10 minutes trying to catch my eye again. When he failed, he left.

There's this new breed of customer who insists on trying to incite political conversation through their clothing and, when that doesnt work, their snide little comments. If I owned my own business, maybe I would have given the guy the fight he wanted. But I work for a corporation and I love paying my bills so I deescalated.

A being that looks as though it is made of pure light. It casts its glow unto those it deems worthy where the chosen is basking in the warm glow. In reality, they are experiencing the worst thoughts and nightmares imaginable while stuck in that blissful look, and the Radiant is feeding off their torment. They will stop once the victim's mind is broken.

When it's not glowing, it has two bulbous eyes and a skink-like physiology. It has no mouth, and theres a bulbous lump behind its bulging eyes, assumidly its stomach where it stores its abstract meals.

Type: Devourer [Consume people's fear and terror]

Powers:

Blinding glow

Warm light

Trauma activator

Nightmare Inducement

Mesmerize

Weakness: Vanta-black paint can prevent the Radient's light from affecting a person, and covering it with the paint can stop its glow for a moment. Stabbing it in the eyes will kill it. Breaking its gaze upon the victim will stop its feeding.

Attacks:

Quick Flash (1 harm ignore-armor blinding)

Warm Glow (0 harm ignore-armor mental-break)

Harm: 10 harm

Custom Moves:

Blinding- hunters will get blinded by the Quick Flash if they fail a Kick Some Ass or Act Under Pressure roll

Mental Break: if a hunter is caught under its warm glow, they must roll Act Under Pressure to escape from it. On a 10+ the hunter resists and is immune to it foe the rest of the encounter. On a mix they resist but can be affected by it again. On a miss, they fall under its gaze and experience the horrors.

Monster: Project Affliction

An experimental, self-replicating nano-machine developed to be a secretive weapon to be used for war to decimate the warfront to ensure victory. However, either through incompetence or a traitor within the scientists/engineers, the nano machine has escaped and is now spreading through the town/city quickly.

Type: Destroyer (bring about the end of the world)

Powers:

Spreads through the water, smaller animals, and air transmission

Illness symptoms (nausea, rash, hyper-sensitivity, insomnia)

Coma inducement

Paranoia inducement

Seizures

Paralysis

Signal frequency interception

Changing kill codes

Overtime it will develop more symptoms that can potentially kill its hosts, including Dysentery, Necrosis, and Hemorrhagic Shock.

Weakness: The scientists are desperately trying to project out a kill switch code through some signals in an effort to stop the nano-machines before either anyone dies, or to stop more deaths. However, the nano-machines' frequency interception is able to set that code distribution back or it changes its code by a few digits to avoid shutdown. The hunters will have to figure out which is the real kill switch code in order to broadcast it and stop it.

It cannot be killed by any other way except for the kill code. Once the right one is sent out, the hosts with writhe and twitch for a moment, then the body will relax and the nano machines shut down/break down.

It does have the potential of changing its code to one already tested (yes it will be frustrating).
