Most vegans and vegetarians are fine in my book. The only ones I dislike are the ones who try and force their beliefs down others throats. All that does is make other vegans look bad.
Vegans are no more aggressive than anyone else who takes an ethical stance for something. Iβm not sure why they need to be quiet and unnoticeable in order to be palatable.

Examples of how I (and other vegan people I know) forced veganism onto people, according to carnists:
Ordered a vegan dish at the restaurant
Said "I'm vegan"
Cooked and served a vegan meal IN MY OWN HOUSE
Posted a vegan dish in the culinary group on Facebook
Didn't giggle and agree with the unhinged tangend about the stupidity of vegans
Ordered coffee with oat milk
Used vegan skincare
Don't look weak and sickly
Didn't agree with some carnist that taking medication makes me not vegan
Cooked vegan food for homeless people
Refused non vegan food
And there's probably a shitton of other examples I can't remember now. It's not even like, actual activism and advocacy here, or any discussions that turned ugly.
As someone who has been on both sides, I can say that no SINGLE FREAKY vegan is as pushy about veganism as meat-eating regulars are about meat
The only way vegans can "promote" their diet is by pointing out that non-vegan products involve unnecessary and inhumane methods of animal slaughter(which is just fact lol)
While meat-eaters consider it their duty (almost to their homelandπ€¦ββοΈ) to post photos of murdered animals (sometimes not even for food, but just as a cruelty to animals, including from farms) and how great it is to eat slaughtered animals, and in real life start to brainwash vegans for the fact that Β«killing is a part of lifeβ’Β»
Those who are most vocal about "imposing" are usually the ones who are trying to impose their own opinions on everyone around them

People who haven't seen Madoka Magica might not know this, but both the characters Mami and Homura are magical girls who use guns as weapons. But while Mami's gun are magical, Homura's are literally just normal guns she stole from the government.
i really really love the magical muskets for a really specific reason, which is that blackpowder guns are way older than people think and should 100% be treated with similar mythological weight to swords and spears and stuff at this point, and they should have equal prominence in generic fantasy fiction stuff.
lemme put it this way; european longswords and european cannons are siblings. they emerged at basically the same time in the early 1300s, and when the longsword was at its peak use in the mid-1400s, the musket was beginning to proliferate.
likewise, the 'modern' style of katana only started being made in the century leading up to the introduction of muskets to Japan; in fact, the reason the katana became The Samurai Sword was because it was a small practical blade you could wear while you carried a gun.
if you can picture your setting having a sword you can use with two hands, then you should have hand cannons. if your knights have full plate, then there should be matchlocks. if you have a magical girl with a sabre, then you should have magical girls with flintlocks.

people on here make ocs and they're mostly men and they ship characters and they're always men and they have favourite characters and they're always men but sometimes they say the men are like women not trans ones though because that would be guh-ross and harsh the vibe of the #fandomspace and they write fanfiction about men and talk about how complicated and #deeplywritten their male favs are and they'll watch movies and tv shows with mostly male casts in every way that matters and not question it because well what do you want them to do about it and they don't even care that that's what they're doing to them it's pure coincidence they always like the male characters better it's pure chance that women are only interesting as yaoi cheerleaders and actually when they write female characters as yaoi cheerleaders they're doing them a favour because they were just so poorly written in the source material it's the charitable thing to do men men men men men men men and if you say anything about it well you're being a killjoy you're being no fun you're being homophobic you're being a misandrist god what is it about women right what is it about women always trying to ruin our fun? why do they care so much? they're just women. who wants to think about women at all.
