Dear Jean,

The spring solstice and march have passed us and here in London the daffodils were blooming everywhere. I felt like wherever I looked I was reminded of you and it gave me much comfort. I had a bunch in my home and they all died except for one. It felt poetically representative of you and your struggles. How out of the darkness you continued to bloom, thrived even, while others fell ungracefully. I hope it's nice where you are and that you don't have to tap out a list of reasons to live anymore because each thing already exists around you and fills you with joy and peace.

It makes me happy to know all your trials ended in full bloom. It's everything you deserved and more.

It’s officially Spring, and I am thinking of you and how quickly life can change as the seasons do. I hope it’s as warm where you are as it is where I am.
