there are seven: "true" alpha, "sub" alpha, "dom" beta, "true" beta, "sub" beta, "true" omega and "dom" omega.

in my dr, although we sometimes do refer to these as secondary genders, they are not genders by definition, given they're not social constructs but purely biological. whatever shows up on the blood test is what you are, it's determined by chromosomes much like a blood type is, and it affects your biological functions. although it is of course tied to the way society works, I scripted it's not that relevant, it's really more like medical information, the way your body works.

anyways, the ones containing "true" in the middle are like, pure? like, just alpha, just omega, just beta - the ones people who consume entry level omegaverse media are more familiar with me thinks. then the ones with "dom" or "sub" are sort of mixes. it's about chromosomes, like I said. there's a complicated explanation for it but let's stick with mixes; it's like a mix of omega and alpha, for an example. sub meaning omega and dom meaning alpha (yes it's outdated terminology but who cares it's not like the world is full of the equivalent of omegaverse discrimination so it's fine!). most people in these combination categories tend to be what would be considered in old reality intersex, especially the ones that don't have beta in them.

the mixes can manifest in multiple ways, from ""mismatched"" (by conventions of OR, again) reproductive organs, to instincts, to experiencing "fake" cycles and ruts. and the possibilities of percentage are infinite. using my beloved as an example, I mentioned this last post already, but he is a sub alpha that fully leans on the omega side to the point that he basically lives as an omega. if it wasn't for the blood test, people would probably just assume that he was an omega who happened to be infertile, but he's infertile because at the end of the day he's still biologically an alpha and his uterus is underdeveloped. one thing about alphas is that they can't carry very well, even when they happen to have uteruses.

some people might be very in the middle, a perfect mix that most won't be able to clock. I, for an example, look mostly like an alpha, but not enough to fully trick people. so they're just left wondering what the fuck I am BAHAHA

something about concords (our species) is that we thrived against other humans species because of how malleable our anatomy is. this does lead to bodies that to people here might not sound optimal, like producing semen but not having a penis, for example, which is pretty common actually. this variety that happens so fast between generations, combined with the fact our whole evolution was more mating and group focused, ensured we were the species that managed to make more babies and protect them better than the others (including homo sapiens sapiens bleeeeh you guys LOSE THE EVOLUTION GAME LOSERRSSS!!!)

omega leaning people tend to have sweeter scents, alpha leaning people tend to have muskier scents, and betas have herbal-ish scents. but it's really not black and white, nothing in my dr really is. i, for an example, even though I lean alpha, i have notes of tangerines in my pheromones. tangerines would mostly be associated with omegas, but 🤷🤷. your scent is influenced by your life experiences, too. there's an idol in my dr that smells like lavender because he apparently drowned one time and received CPR near a lavender field. the memory was so strong that it became his scent (this is one of the most random dr memories I ever got btw)
