i am currently hyperfixating on star trek, the pitt, interview with the vampire, avatar the last airbender, dc comics, marvel comics, indie comics and buffyverse. i also loveeeee old sitcoms and weird little niche shows e.g. press gang and bbc robin hood.
if you can't handle someone liking angel or faith (btvs), kevin (aftg) and basically all main characters from iwtv series then i suggest you don't follow.

Kicking It In - Kevin's POV during TSC and TGR. Currently sort of canon compliant but will deviate towards the end of TGR (it's KevJean). This requires reading my completed fic Waiting You Out first.
Clocked You - a fic that follows Kevin and Andrew after Riko smashes his hand as Kevin settles into the Foxes. It follows canon until Neil as Neil never becomes romantic with Andrew.
Be a Trojan - a fic in which Kevin and Jean leave the Nest before they sign on Freshman year and escape to play with the Trojans.
The Acquisition of Kevin Day - a fic that follows Kevin from just before Kayleigh's death up until sometime post Jean's arrival in Evermore.

As much as Jet’s rough around the edges, he’s also quite capital-R-Romantic about how he sees himself; he’s a freedom fighter, a roguish hero, a robin hood figure, etc. He clings to that narrative of himself, and like, of course he does, he’s a traumatized 16 y old idiot and that narrative has been the only thing keeping him going and giving him a sense of self for a long time. He has no identity outside of it. It’s also one of the funniest and most tragic things about him, I think; that he’s proud of his ability to charm and sees himself as this dashing grown up guy on a mission, and ofc does not realize that the “charm” in question is actually a trauma response.
And honestly that’s such an important factor in his interactions w Zuko bc Zuko may be lying about his identity but Jet is just as much of a pretender as he is, he’s just even less self aware. Zuko is, in a way, actually more honest bc even though he has to lie a lot, his personality and body language remain authentic. The same can’t be said for Jet. It’s great. Those are literally just two scared and angry children and everything else is an affectation
Now that we have a canon image of Zuko in his late 20s/early 30s?, have you ever drawn Jet or Jin at that age? (and what would they think of Zuko’s princess hair?)

so I am now taking another break to work on life stuff, work stuff, my paid writing, my personal writing, but in case you missed it I recently updated two fics, over the last few weeks, with quite a few chapters each:
The End of All - DC Comics based, about the relationship between Tommy Bronson and Grant Emerson in the JSA. It's centered around Tommy coping with Grant's death post Blackest Night, but it also features flashbacks to Tommy's childhood and to their relationship and falling in love. Sometimes other characters get brought up and featured such as Ted, Al, Jesse, Maxine, Jakeem and Bart. I even name dropped Paco and Hank from JLA in the last chapter bc I couldn't help myself. This is also lowkey a character analysis of Tommy in a lot of ways, and sometimes a character analysis of Grant.
Kicking It In - AFTG - fic about Kevin Day during the period of Jean's books and afterwards. We're finally in the afterwards which is exciting. The Foxes have had their big Ravens game and the fallout has been massive. Not to mention there's some other shady shit going down with the changes made in certain administrations. Lots of big developments and weird shit going on in the last few chapters, and some nice Wymack pieces to alleviate some of that angst. I don't really want to mention other things and ruin any plot points.
Both these pieces allude to and involve characters with CSA and other abusive backgrounds. Nothing is graphic but it's there. Please take care while reading.
