Karmelo Anthony and Austin Metcalfe had never met before the day Karmelo stabbed Austin and killed him. Over a dozen witnesses stated that there was nothing racially charged said by Austin before before Karmelo stabbed Austin and killed him. The only thing anyone who was actually there says happened between Austin and Karmelo was Austin asking him to leave, telling him he had to leave, and lightly pushing him in an attempt to make him leave before Karmelo stabbed Austin and killed him. Austin's coach had tasked him with being in charge of the team that day and part of that includes making sure only people from Austin's team are in that tent. Karmelo was not supposed to be there and Austin had the right to demand he leave. You don't get to kill bouncers for throwing you out of an establishment and you don't get to stab another teen and kill him because he wanted you to leave somewhere you weren't supposed to be. Again, every person who was in that tent says that nothing racist happened and the two teens had never met before. There was literally no racism occurring and no death threats.
If the black community can't accept one of the most straightforward murder trials ever seen in this country then this racial divide will never be closed. Anyone who invents a narrative out of whole cloth to justify outright murder is doing harm to the black community.
