I am, with COMPLETE, genuine human sincerity, begging you to (NOT MYOPICALLY!!) learn even a little philosophy. Watch The Good Place for all I care. Read a kid’s book if you have to. If you can’t even *try* to understand forgiveness, it will ruin you. Not just could- it WILL. 10 out of 10 people who don’t will be ruined by it. And it will corrupt you and make you a mean, bitter, miserable, self-centered individual, just like every conservative or neo-liberal chud who foam at the mouth over putting as many private prisons everywhere who got that way by having this “all or nothing” fallacious-in-nature mindset. Ask me how I know. Or don’t. Try it. See what happens. If you’re right, you get nothing. If you’re wrong, you lose everything. If you like that gamble, by all means, go for it. Do it. I’m serious. Just make sure you’re prepared for when all your relationships distance themselves from you out of fear that you’ll go after them next, cuz they’re not ever gonna “know” that you’re the “right” kind of unforgiving who supernaturally 100% of the time correctly directs their vindication at the “right” people and neeeever *not* the evil icky bad-bad people that actually “deserve” it as opposed to the good sweet pure ones who all want to be your friend, and they’re not gonna want to be open or honest or trust you at all with deeply personal information. Even if you think they “should” simply “just know that that doesn’t include them!!”, because they won’t whether they should or not, in the same way that if you attack everyone you’re “certain” is a bad person—whether you’re right or not—on basis of personal things like weight or looks or anything like that, anyone else who knows you that has those traits is gonna know that you think less of people because of that, and by proxy, they’re going to not want to be around you anymore. Nobody will trust you enough to feel safe enough around you to confide in you. Period. No matter if you only do it to the people you deduce to be bad. Everyone is gonna think that of you, unless they’re the kind of person who would do the exact same thing to you. Because you’re not gonna be right all the time. You’re just not. And so one day when you INEVITABLY lash out at the wrong person, don’t be surprised when people are just as spiteful and unforgiving to you as you showed them that you were to everyone else. Again, ask me how I know. I’m not saying to hold hands and sing Kumbaya with all your worst enemies… Nobody was saying that (And if you thought I was, might I refer you to the foundational theory of our generation: the Waffles and Pancakes conundrum); I’m saying that if you can’t move on, that grudge is gonna be a real ulcer (figurative and literal) that will be constantly putting toxins into your mind that will make it so you never fully become a “good” person. Just like them. Just like Jax. Learn this now while you’re still young enough—while you still have time before it inevitably has to be learned the hard way after it ruins your life and makes all your friends cut contact with you.
