Yes, Eridians only have one sex. I obviously don't speak for the entire intersex community, but the terms that intersex advocates suggest using alternatively are "cosexual" or "monoecious." Both of these terms describe organisms with male and female reproductive organs, or which produce both male and female gametes. But. Yelling about how this was obviously a bs case would have shut everyone down and made them stop listening. Asking questions and letting people discuss how the cops tried to make xyz sound suspicious but it was totally normal, or about how if things played out the way the cops said then logically events should have proceeded in a totally different direction, and positing different theories that actually lined up with the evidence presented?

That got people thinking, and everyone realized that for a variety of reasons we all had reasonable doubts that the defendent had committed any of the crimes of which he was accused.

“coming from a place of respect” there is nothing respectful about a comment like this. this is exactly why I say witch hunt, speculations and accusations harm the writing community as much as ai does, if not more.

I am not saying “you’re an asshole if you think a fic is ai”. I have come across fics that I believe were ai-generated. but instead of asking (accusing) the authors, I make my own decisions whether I’ll continue reading for the benefit of the doubt or quietly exit the fics and look for something else to read.

because with every accusation like this, there’s always a chance of a genuine, innocent writer getting wrongly accused.

last but not least, fanfic writers do NOT owe you anything. they write for themselves and their own enjoyment. their ao3 accounts are their houses and they were kind enough to let you in their houses. for free. (you get to read things for free.) you don’t go into other people’s houses and tell them “actually I think the way you decorate your room is sus. did you actually do it yourself or did you ask a robot to do it for you?”. Listen. I get not liking him. I get that he's a huge piece of shit and he deserves the hatred he gets. Sure. I'm a Jax enjoyer but i don't condone the things he's done, just as i wouldn't condone the actions of a male character i like if they did the same fucking things Jax did, Loki being a great example.

My problem is when people go 'oh its a transphobic portrayal.' It's fucking not. That's blatantly fucking false. I'm a fucking trans man. I've seen trans people who acted like him and I've had my own issues that still rear up pretty frequently. Trauma is a hell of a thing especially when you've gotten absolutely no help and are terrified of literally everyone around you to the point you become a vitriolic monster. LGBTQ+ people also should be allowed to be portrayed as monsters sometimes, just like cis straight people. I want ALL FORMS OF EQUALITY in my media thank you.

Anyways, Jax was compared to his dad who was horrifically abusive to him and his mother, by his mother, for years. He was then laughed at and mocked when he tried to come out to his mother. He lashed out, believed he accidentally killed her and ran away in guilt, and went homeless. That's extremely fucking traumatic. Trauma doesn't breed strength it just breeds more pain for everyone around the traumatized person if they don't know how to handle it, i speak from experience.

And before you throw the 'oh but Gooseworx said horrible things about women despite supposedly being a woman now' at me, you know women say awful shit about other women, right? Same thing with men but we don't criticize men for saying bad things about men, oh but that's because men suck, right? Misogyny is fucking misogyny so if you think all men should die or whatever, you must really not like trans men. Get the fuck off my page if that's the case. Anyways, If the men get to talk bad about men then women should be allowed to talk bad about women. You want equality? Fucking stop treating women like the right does. A woman said or did something bad or problematic? Big whoop, expecting them to not be anything other than angels is the same way men saw women back in the day and how some of the right still see women. Let Jax fuck up. One of my characters that i use as a self insert is Plat, a schizophrenic gay man who eventually accidentally kills his sister and mother (who he both loves dearly btw) in a drug induced haze and has killed hundreds prior, specifically because this way of life is his way to deal with the worst of his mental health issues, and therefore a way for me to cope with my own mental health issues. Does that mean I'm ableist and homophobic cause I've written a problematic gay character despite being pan, ace, trans, and disabled? Or is it okay cause he's a man and I'm a trans man and it's only a problem when a trans woman writes a repressed trans woman in a way that reflects her own self hatred. Get a grip.
