I just watched the Tadc finale on my own (meaning not in theaters) and Iām realizing that itās not as bad as I initially thought. I think a lot of my annoyance came from how loud the audience was during the emotional scenes which ruined the mood for me personally. I still do think the show wasnāt very well paced and not as developed as I wished it could have been, but I just learned that Gooseworx was THE ONLY writer handling a bunch of different departments and that made me realize how hard that probably was for her. That takes a lot of energy and the small amount of episodes and issues I found originally make ten times more sense now.
I canāt imaging having to handle that workload. Iāve liked Gooseworxās stuff for a long time, even before the show and I know her style is very absurdist in the best way possible, so going from that type of magical realism genre to a full length plot based story mustāve been a huge leap, and I think thatās really impressive.
Thatās just my opinion though, itās not like Iām a skilled writer/artist or anything lol

I absolutely hated that ending, I thought it was badly written and horribly paced, and I honestly wish I liked it, just so I wouldnāt be so pissy about it right now, but I canāt lie to myself and say itās like mana sent from heaven. Regardless, you donāt see me going around saying everyone is an idiot or gooseworx is an idiot or whatever stupid crap I hear online. People liked it, if it made them feel something, made them look at the world differently orā I donāt know, just made. Them. Happy. What is the fucking point in going after those people?!
You despised the ending? Great! Letās rant about its terribleness together! You adored that ending? FANTASTIC! Iām GLAD that you felt good and satisfied with it! Thatās spectacular, and itās beautiful that this piece of media touched you so deeply it was able to draw even a fraction of positive emotion from you.
