Give Me Love [DBH! Protagonist x Fem!Reader] (Prologue)
[This is the ending result combing the three imagines 'secretly falling for you, I know it's not much going on yet, but this is only a Prologue so just you wait (I know I reference Hamilton right there, sorry I'm cringey). Forgive me if my English is not accurate, I'm still learning. And also I hope you guys enjoy this!]
I have to re-do the events by chapter, this was supposed to be uploud 4 days ago, but I have a terrible internet connection so I'm sorry if this is late and I'm sorry if my plot is terrible.
Detroit; in this type of season where you rarely see the sun shines because of it's constant raining. Although Connor couldn't careless at the downpour drenching his attire while walking in the rain, however that idea was dismissed, his task at hand is to find more secluded area for his partner. He detects the temperature dropping down quite rapidly, they where currently residing in one of the bus stops, which is not good since he couldn't find any heat signature and to top it off — it was the middle of the night; meaning there is no taxi nor bus insight.
"Here, you can keep yourself warm with this in the mean time." Connor offered his overcoat to (Y/n), whom just look at the piece of fabric, not bother in taking it.
"No need for that. I'm all good,"
"But Lieutenant your temperature is—"
"I said I'm fine Connor and didn't I just told you to call me by my first name."
Connor's LED turned yellow many times that night with the caused of her, his been having difficult on his choices; since a while ago during their first investigation together, she was being determine in catching the deviant, when she actually did, she wanted him to flee and escape. Of course, Connor was there to witness it all and took matter on his own hands.
At the end of the day, the deviant was turned in, to (Y/n)'s dismay. He didn't understand why the sudden change, his analytic probability of her hating Androids was similar to Hank, maybe his calculation is based on first impression of her— being distant on their first meeting, where their conversation contained with nothing but, short, distinctive words concerning only about the case, sometimes showing a little hostility if he had said something indelicate. Eventhough she's easily approachable than Hank, but is more hard to decipher.
"Oh yes, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable." Connor shifted his gaze towards the raindrops instead.
(Y/n) knew his analyzing her, but choose to stay silent, she's not getting angry over little trivial matter. She followed his gaze and watched the little droplets reign down the streets with each tapping sound creating a rhythm. Out of all the seasons, she love rainy days far most, it always brings her some sort of peace which would come to her rarely now then deviancy started to happened.
Somehow the current weather had her reeling furthermore in her thoughts. There's a lot in her mind after Ortiz homicide case and can't wait to go home and confirm things.
"Yes?" (Y/n) turn to face him while hugging herself to keep her warm, but did no good, she likes the cold but not in the right time and place.
"Would Android... be capable of Love?" She hastily asked, Connor's hazel brown met her's instantly and respond straight away.
"No, they are just errors on their program—"
"Of course, that's what you are encrypted to say." For the first time that day, (Y/n) gave her a genuine smile. He creased his eyebrows in confusion as she looked at the rain with a smile still visible on her lips.
"Don't answer that question for now," And to his surprise she started singing.
"Wise man say only fools rushed in, but I can't help falling in love with you..." Connor watched the words perfectly flowed out of her lips. He feel his bio components reacting feveretly, he couldn't understand why his body acting differently.
"Oh, Shall I stay? Would it be a sin? If I can't help falling in love with you..." Listening to her end the song hitting every notes with gentleness outmatching the rain. However all of that where gone when she turn to him and said nonchalantly.
"Can I have your coat now. I'm freezing to death."
"Like a river flows, surely to the see. Darling so it goes, something's are meant to be..." Markus watched her dance swiftly while singing all at once, not breaking a sweat. She's doing waltz with no partner, most would think she looked ridiculous dancing on her own.
(Y/n) didn't mind, it's only her and Markus in the room, and she knew he won't judge her for doing what she'd felt like. He watched her every single move, pacing around the room with her eyes closed as a gentle smile tug on her lips while humming. He smiled at the sight, it's truly remarkable how she already memorize the place without tripping into an object while dancing.
After tending in Carl's need, he was told Markus to accompany (Y/n) without any hesitation obliged, as he set down a tray of food, interrupting and let her eyes bat open.
"Markus! Come on join me!" She made her way across the room, only to hold both of his hands pulling him closer to her. Markus sight lingers on their hands before slowly meeting her eyes.
"I- I can't dance (Y/n) it's agai—"
"Don't, stop right there, I'll teach you!"
Now: November 5th, 2038. Earlier that day.
"Goddamit, where the fuck's the brat gone off to now?"
Kara observe Todd whom was frantically looking for someone which happens to be a little girl sitting on the stair case, hugging the stuff toy closer for comfort as Todd set his feiry gaze at her.
"There you are, that's Alice. You look after her, homework, bath, all that crap..."
With that, Alice ran off upstairs while Kara started to do the chores. When she's done cleaning the downstairs, she went and clean Todd's room after that Alice's. She stopped and listen as she heard Alice humming a familiar tune and starts to sing.
"Take my hand... Take my whole life too... For I can't help falling in love with you..." Kara furrowed her eyebrows, her software is started glitching, she open the door and walked in only to see Alice in her little cove all warm up, when she notice her, Alice quickly closed her mouth.
"I just wanted to tidy your room. I only need two minutes, is that okay Alice?"
