This also applies to women who complain about feminism requiring them to work, rather than being ‘ladies of leisure’. Women equivalent to them in the past always worked - who do they think were the maids, housekeepers, cooks, nannies, wet nurses, governesses, washerwomen, spinners, weavers, seamstresses, nurses, midwives, etc - and today’s equivalent of the past’s ladies of leisure can afford to be ladies of leisure now. Feminism fought for women’s work to be acknowledged, valued, and fairly paid, and that fight is still ongoing.

TERFs are some of the biggest opponents to body autonomy, and if you find yourself thinking “oh people can do whatever they want with their bodies as long as it doesn’t harm them or make others uncomfortable” then you are far more susceptible to TERF propaganda than you think.

I really do appreciate how George has written Davos’s loyalty to Stannis as both Davos having genuine love for Stannis but also Davos following Stannis like he is a god. The fixation that Stannis has of being the one who ‘made’ Davos and vice versa with Davos thinking of Stannis as his maker. Like genuinely such an interesting dynamic between the two.
