a lot of emphasis is put into when grace is and isn't physically touched in the movie (never being able to touch rocky except for That One Time then he's left with a scar forever, that long lingering shot of almost-touching through the mesh panel, stratt tapping his chair to get his attention instead of anywhere on his actual person, being taken down by a group of nameless stanger characters while being watched from afar by the two named characters with personalities he actually knows), but what I've seen get left out of discussions so far is that stratt is actually pretty touchy with him in the impromptu public speaking scene on the aircraft carrier. she puts a hand on his arm to stop him from backing out, moves it to his back to guide him to the room's focal point, and takes him by the hand and elbow to show him to his seat. and she's holding her signature Two Venti Coffees™️ at the time, so it's a little bit of an effort to keep a hand free for biologist wrangling. the blocking otherwise has her very deliberately not ever touching him (aforementioned chair tap and chase scenes, giving him things by tossing them instead of handing them over, physical barriers often being present between them when they talk), she's only ever hands-on just this one time in front of an audience.
