Day 1: Entangled (LOZ Zelink)

@fluffyjuly Day 3: Cuddling @fandombingo (The Blooming Hour): You Bloom When They Look At You

Zelda can feel vines touch her cheek before Link’s fingertips do. They intertwine with hers, leaves touching leaves as Link gets closer and closer, petals opening as they would for the sun. He kisses her nose, and she’s greeted to the sweet smell of roses and tulips, soft on her skin.

When she opens her eyes, it’s to the sight of a full bouquet of flowers, made specifically for her. This is an unexpected side effect of the triforce she will never tire of. She reaches for a rose and watches as it blooms in her hands.

Day 3: A Quiet Moment (Spirit Tracks Zelink)

Zelda feared she would forget the sensations of being alive. That she’d forget the coolness of the breeze, the heat of the sun’s kiss, the softness of her dress, and the sound of a train’s whistle in the distance.

Despite her best ability, there were a few things that did slip from her memory. Such as how heavy a hand feels intertwined with hers, or how blinding the sunrise is with streaks of orange and purples. But it's so beautiful, she can’t bring herself to look away.

When she cries, Link squeezes her hand, grounding in its warmth.

Day 4: Again (Skyward Sword Zelink)

@fluffyjuly Day 2: “You kept this?” + Day 6 “Just one more time”

“You kept this?” Zelda asks as she sits next to Link, leaning onto the tree trunk as the grass cushions the ground. The sunlight sprinkles between the branches, the leaves thick enough to provide cooling shade.

The strums of the harp play on, Link’s fingers plucking a tune that Zelda vaguely recognizes. Not from her own memory, but from Before. It sounds beautiful.

Link doesn’t answer her, but she knows. She knows because he keeps playing, fingers never stuttering even when she leans into his side.

“Can you play again?” She asks when he pauses. “Just one more time?”

Day 7: Home at Last (BOTW Zelink)

Home was something Zelda never had the privilege of knowing. Not when her father was always disappointed in her, and her study was the only place she could hide away in. Home was a place she grew to resent, learned to be silent and complicit, tense and frustrated because she was never good enough.

But then Link sits beside her, scarred but familiar in heart, and says they can find home together. With flowers tall and expanding in front of them, and Hyrule’s land calling to explore and research, he says they can find their home together.

Tim’s lips are soft. This thought bounces around Kon’s head, echoing as Tim tugs him closer by the waist, breaths mixing until thunder crackles through the sky.

Tim groans, dropping his head onto Kon’s shoulder. “Superboy.” There’s a warning in his voice, and Kon smiles at it. “Please tell me you did not time this with a rain storm.”

“Ok,” Kon chirps, kissing the top of Tim’s head. Tim tries pushing his head for that. “I didn't time this amazing outing with a rain storm.”

“I timed it—” Tim’s head lifts at this, and Kon soothes his agitation with a hand to his cheek, cupping Tim’s face as he kisses him one more time— “so we can have fun!”

Tim’s rebuttal is an instant one, and Kon pouts at it. “You are going to get me sick.”

“I’m not going to get you sick! A little bit of rain don’t hurt nobody.”

“SB, babe, I love you.” Tim grabs his hand, squeezing as if that will make the words go through Kon’s head more clearly. Sadly, Kon’s head is like a rock, and all it does is slide off onto the ground like the rain they’re going to be trapped in. “But you’re Kryptonian. You could stay out here for the whole storm and not be affected.”

Kon lifts Tim in his arms, determined to make him see Kon’s plan here. He sways them, smiling cheekily when Tim instinctively wraps his legs around Kon for support, his hands holding onto his shoulders.

“You mean you don’t want to dance in the rain with me?” Kon pouts, maintaining eye contact with Tim even as he tries to look away. The sky starts sprinkling, small droplets that feel refreshing and cool against their heated skins.

He knows he wins when Tim sighs, a small noise that sounds more like an exhale, but Kon can see how Tim’s mouth twitches. “Fine, but if I get sick, I’m telling Batman on you.”

Kon sputters. “What?! Why would—”

Tim kisses him, laughing even when the rain turns into a proper stream, flattening his hair and sliding down his cheek and neck. Tim’s laugh is beautiful when it’s like this, unfiltered and loud. It makes him look soft, the way his nose scrunches as if to restrain the noise, only succeeding in making him snort instead, his head tilted to the side as if to hide away.

Kon guides his face back and kisses the giggles away, smiling as he swings them in a circle, twirling in a way that has Tim beaming as he calls him an idiot.

Touch Starved (94 words)

Jason feels his skin crawl when Bruce lays a hand on his shoulder. The warmth of his palm burns, and Jason’s eyes prickle as the sensation washes over him. Bruce is safe, the touch murmurs; he will keep Jason protected.

Jason leans into the touch, letting the older man drop a blanket over him and brush his fingers over his hair. His hands, strangely callused for a billionaire, are gentle as they detangle matted curls.

“Oh, chum,” Bruce murmurs as Jason’s breathing slows, slumping further into his side. “It’s ok now. You're safe now.”

Broken Promises (115 words)

Jason doesn’t like promises. Promises were just empty words told by every adult around him. Promises and oaths mean nothing when there is no action to back them up.

His mom promised to quit her drugs for him, but never could. His dad promised their lives would get better, but then he got arrested. Dick promised that he’ll always come for him if Jason called, but wasn’t there when Jason needed him. And then there’s Bruce, the man promised to keep him safe. To always be there.

What a load of bullshit, Jason thinks, putting his red helmet on with a click. Gotham has a new protector now, one that has no intentions of failing.

Astronaut (131 words)

Willis lifts Jason into the air, Jason’s little arms and legs spread out, and box on his head. Willis makes rocket noises as Jason squeals, cheeks rosy with laughter.

Catherine smiles at the sight of them together, blindly reaching for her phone to remember this moment. It’s not often Willis can stay home with them; his bosses demand unusual hours, so she’s always trying to capture the moments they’re together.

“Kiddo,” Willis tries guiding Jason to look at the camera, but he keeps missing as the box shifts to cover his eyesight. “Look at mommy.”

“My little astronaut,” Catherine coos when Jason finally looks her way, a gap in his mouth from where he lost a tooth the previous night, and his dad’s coat dwarfing him. “Look how cute you are.”

Pre-canon SS Zelink, as a lil treat 💖

If there’s ever a moment Zelda wishes she could stop time so she can have a moment to treasure it for longer, it’s right now.

Link laughs as she pulls him into the dance, dirty blond hair glowing golden, and the candle light brightens his eyes. His skin is hot and red, long ears fanning in an attempt to cool down, and he’s the most beautiful man she’s ever seen.

The music washes over them, and Zelda’s hair whips around her as she pulls them into a twirl. Her dress swishes with the movements, steps light as they circle a trail between the tables of Lumpy Pumpkin.

People are clapping in tune with Kina’s singing, cheers and laughter loud in the room, and spices waft from the kitchen. Her eyes are only on Link, to the scrunch of his nose, to the sparkle in his eyes, to his dazzling smile and the smooth curve of muscles hiding beneath a loose-fitting shirt.

Zelda trails her hands over Link’s arms and shoulders before circling around his neck, pulling him closer with a giddy sound. She’s feeling bold, acting like this around him, but she’s hoping the joyful and energetic atmosphere will distract the cute airhead.

“Thank you,” she whispers into his ear as he spins them again. “For today.”

He dips her, smiling wide when she laughs. There’s something warm in his gaze, loving, and her breath stutters. “Anything for the birthday girl.”

Haunting My Memory

Summary:

Ranboo always dreamed of getting married, he told Tubbo this after they left the courthouse, papers held in his fidgeting hands with gold metal glinting in the sunlight. He looked beautiful in front of the sunset, purples and oranges washing over him with delicate strokes. Like a painting, a painting that Tubbo gets to keep and cherish, and oh, his eyes sparkle in the right lighting. Something small, with only family and friends, Ranboo explained. I would wear a white dress with a long veil. Maybe lace and flowers, with a blue and purple bouquet. It would be in a field of flowers, bright colors and a bright day to symbolize a joyous new start. It's a bit silly though, isn't it? Maybe one day, he remembers teasing Ranboo, you’ll still get that wedding. It sounded perfect, he thought. It still does. -- Or, Ranboo is dead, and something is haunting Snowchester. Tubbo thinks he knows how to fix this

Summary:

Quackity can’t help the laughter in his voice, a tad squeaky as he says, “A partnership?” The man nods, sitting back down with a tired huff. It’s still night time, and yet the chill doesn't reach them as the windows say shut. The warmth of the silence gives an illusion of safety, and Quackity can’t help the way he sinks back down into the covers. “It gets lonely, having no one around.” Quackity knows what he means. “So you want to be friends,” he raises a brow at the other man. Charlie smiles bashfully. “Or whatever. Friend, business partner, survival buddy. Whatever fits best.” Quackity hums tiredly. The promise of company during these unpredictable times sounds reassuring, and Quackity finds himself agreeing. “Sure. That sounds nice,” he whispers. - Even before the apocalypse, Quackity was miserable with his life. He's always been alone, and after running from his engagement, he held true to belief that being alone was better than fake. Meeting Charlie, he's starting to question if this mentality was ever true.
