The yuri wheel says... Mukuro x Hiyoko

This photo was my first thought. While disguised as Junko, Mukuro is very friendly and would make an effort to get along with Hiyoko. With all the things Junko has said to her, it'd be surprising if Hiyoko could manage to hurt her feelings. Hiyoko likes to refer to others as her older siblings and Mukuro is an older sister, so maybe Mukuro would feel compelled to take on that role. I think the picture above captures it perfectly. They have one interaction in UTDP and two in DRS, though in one the two they don't interact. In their interactions, Mukuro attempts to be friendly, Hiyoko not so much.

They both love the Rose in Vitro gift. Mukuro likes the Cherry Blossom Bouquet and Hiyoko likes the 1000 Cherry Blossoms. Both hate the Kokeshi Dynamo. One item in DR2 is Mukuro's Knife, which Hiyoko is neutral about.

Chapter 1:

Insert the element of the Danganronpa IF au where Makoto knows stuff and yells at Mukuro to jump. Not wanting to blow her cover, Junko decides to let her live, believing that the despair of having to live after being betrayed is enough for Mukuro

Mukuro’s real identity is revealed by Makoto, but again, Junko doesn’t intervene so she can’t blow her cover. She does threaten Mukuro into keeping their plan silent, however.

Chapter 2:

No change other than Mukuro accounting that she did see Mondo leave the sauna whilst patrolling, but didn’t investigate since he seemed tired

Chapter 3:

Instead of Taeko targeting Kiyotaka directly, she instead has Hifumi kill Yasuhiro, planning to make the claim “Kiyotaka killed to see his bro again, and he was defensive over Alter ego, it’s no wonder he killed the two”

Despite this her stupid ass plan fails agains

Kiyotaka stops acting in the persona of Kiyondo and becomes verbal once more (even if sparingly)

Chapter 4:

Mostly the same, except Monokuma makes up a bullshit ass rule that decides Aoi should be punished for trying to kill all her classmates, so she gets executed instead of alter ego

Chapter 5:

Junko pulls that chapter 5 shtick but instead forces Mukuro to play dead during the investigation. There’s no bomb this time. The fifth trial plays out the same way.

Chapter 6:

Mukuro reveals herself as alive and participates in the 6th trial. It goes the same way, except Mukuro actually Shoots Junko during The After School Lesson

i have been rotating them in my brain i think their dynamic would be so funny

i was trying to think about how aradia would integrate w the human social circle and i cant help but conclude everyone would instantly love her because she is like the capybara of sburb

except these two! june for very petty surface level reasons (ie bad first impression and poor listening comprehension) and vriska for. a great number of much more complicated reasons.

but mostly i just love to see june be a shitty little hater i think her skills in haterology are underappreciated
