✶ this is a sideblog. my main blog is cowbowlikesolowrites but I am not active there at all, maybe reblogging by mistake once in a blue moon — there is no need for you to follow it. I am currently working into turning my inactive main into my writing archive.
✶ my current long-lenght project is Heaven Is A Place, This Is A Place, a Gothic Horror Han Solo character study set in-between ANH and ESB — it has HanLeia slow burn, an unusual take on Han’s past, childhood trauma and ghosts haunting the narrative. please make sure to check the trigger warnings before reading.
✶ my ask box is open for anon and asks of all kind. so are my messages, feel free to drop in and say hi!
✶my blog my rules; I don’t really tag the gore or nsfw stuff I reshare because I don’t care. I reblog graphic stuff pretty often with little to no proper tagging so be warned.
✶ yes, I used to be a Swiftie, hence the origins of my username (the song cowboy like me + Han Solo), but I do not associate myself with that internet community or name any longer; however, I still listen to the music quite often.
✶ yes, I am a multishipper. here's a short guide of my ship tags:
hanleia: this one's loud and clear
han'ra/ fox and hound: Han Solo/Qi'ra
skysolo: again, loud and clear
leii'ra: Leia Organa/Qi'ra
crimsonkiss: Qi'ra/Lennor (OCxCannon)
tomialteeth (tag created with @mitotruco): Garris Shrike/Han Solo (NOT in a romantic pattern! we tag this as a ship due to the nature of their relationship)
other fandoms/media pieces I am interested in & you might see on this blog: Buffy The Vampire Slayer, AMC IWTV & The Vampire Chronicles, musicals (mostly Hadestown and Phantom of the Opera, occasionally others such as EPIC and Wicked), Six of Crows & The Grishaverse
other interests you might see here: Gothic Literature — mainly Wuthering Heights and Frankestein, art, vampires, Greek Mythology, feminism, history, cooking, baking, journaling, reading and book reviews, movies, media analysis, fashion
what artists/music I listen to: Florence + The Machine, Ethel Cain, She Wants Revenge, Concrete Blonde, Depeche Mode, Taylor Swift (as I said, I used to be a Swiftie; and even though I don't associate with that title anymore, I still listen to the music), Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Paramore + Hayley's solo music and a bunch of other people I can't name LMAO

one thing i find strange about TERFism and trans-criticism is how much of it is just attractiveness politics. it seems to be the leading talking point. sure, make your points on sexual dimorphism or biological sex differences (which any normal trans woman is fully aware of already, mind you. the average transsexual is not claiming she’s experiencing period cramps lol) but so much anti-trans discourse seems to just be “well you’re ugly so you’re not a woman and i feel unsafe.” which seems…. so counter-productive to your movement. trans women, like any group of people, are nowhere near exempt from criticism, but what is the point of putting so much emphasis on such an empty and invalid viewpoint? so much of feminism seems to hark on how men only respect women they find attractive, yet the majority of your breath is spent on here pointing out physical characteristics that you seemingly think invalidate someone’s identity. how does having broad shoulders, a wide jaw, and a five o’clock shadow somehow equate to being a predatory rapist? it’s a mindset i’ve never understood. obviously it’s prevalent outside trans discourse, people just generally seem to equate ugliness with evilness, but you would think a group of individuals who posture themselves steeped and rooted in theory and academics wouldn’t weaponize such a vapid and vague talking point. (not to say only terfs do it, your average Internet Man absolutely loves to dunk on the fuckability of any given trans woman at any given time, but….. fork found in kitchen.) idk, i’ve just always found it odd. like i’m sorry but i just don’t buy into the idea that you’re supposed to be reasonably terrified of someone in a public bathroom because you think they’re ugly. i think you might just be an asshole.
Every single one of the 599 refugees the US admitted last month was a white South African, according to data the State Department’s Bureau of Population released Friday.
In fact, so was every other refugee admitted this year. Since October 1, 2025, the US has accepted 6,668 refugees. Of those, 6,665 were white South Africans. Three—admitted last November—were from Afghanistan. No other refugees were admitted.
And this is only half the story. They are also revoking the legal status of existing immigrants granted protected status due to fleeing dangerous conditions in their home countries… and let’s look at which countries they are:
Since Inauguration Day, more than 1.5 million immigrants have either lost or will lose their temporary legal status, including their work au

if you ever doubt that your ao3 comments matter or mean something: i have been struggling with my writing for 6 months straight, crying myself to sleep afraid that i will never be able to write again, that the thing i love most in the world has left me, that my writing is just gone
this morning i got this comment:
and after i stopped blubbering over it, i picked up my writing notebook, and re-read all my fic research, and opened up my document again for the first time in weeks without being afraid of it
you have no idea how much writers treasure every single comment we get. you have no idea how big an impact you can have. sometimes, just sometimes, your one "insignificant" comment changes everything
in grade 12 we were reading romeo and juliet and we were at the romantic-ass balcony scene and this hot girl in the class volunteered to read juliet’s parts and i put up my hand to volunteer for another part and the teacher goes ‘oh do you want to be the nurse, amanda?’ and i was like ‘no i wanna be romeo’ and the hot girl swiveled around in her seat to give me a Look™
she and i later ended up making out at a bunch of parties in university lmfao
I too got a girlfriend over this play. In grade 10, I was reading the balcony scene to study with two other people (one guy and one beautiful girl) and I insisted point blank I had to read as romeo, because he had the most lines and I’m a dramatic little shit.
So the other two in my group are used to my antics by now. We’re all friends, so the pair of them decide that the one guy in our group gets to be the nurse. Now, my Juliet and I have been friends for a couple months by this point, so I decide to be a little more dramatic.
We put Juliet on a spinny chair, and pump it up as tall as it goes, and my baby, closeted lesbian ass crouches on the floor, ready to be as melodramatic as possible. Like, I’m about to do a rendition that makes William himself walk into the class and tell me to take it back a notch or twelve.
And then I look up.
And holy shit.
There she is, Juliet, haloed in the worst fluorescent light known to mortals across the globe. Light just streaming down around her, that weird off-green colour that it always is. And she’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. My little gay soul is barely holding on as the words barely leave my lips, breathlessly. “But soft… what light from yonder window breaks?”
And Juliet was the sun. Romeo was not exaggerating that line at all.
Juliet and I have also been together for more than 4 years now. She’s every bit as spectacular as she was when I was a lovestruck teenage Romeo, kneeling on the yellowed linoleum floor of second block english.
