SOME FACTS ABOUT EMMA
Was a huge troublemaker(she would get in all sorts of shenanigans), but became more responsible after Marinetteās death.
Got into lots of fights. One time, a bully spelled spaghetti over her head in front of the entire cafeteria during recess, and she retaliated by sneaking into the changing room and ruining their shirt(she scribbled embarrassing stuff) . Like this girl is petty, good thing she is only like this when somebody hurts her first, otherwise she is pretty chill.
Once snuck out using Marinetteās old bike with her friends, thankfully Marinette caught her before anything bad happened.
You know that one kid who can pull crazy flips and turns, thatās Emma.
A lot of the hand poses she does are inspired by anime like Sailor Moon and YuYu Hakusho.
Emma is the type of person who judges you based on your actions. She doesnāt care whether you are rich or poor, preppy or goth, nerd or jock, but if you are an asshole who loves to inflict harm on others, she will not play nice.
Her character is based on Katherina(from My Next life as a Villainess: All routes lead to doom), Toph (ALTA), Adora(She-ra and the Princesses of Power), Archer(Fate Stay/Night),Marinette and Lila
As a civilian, Emmaās personality more like Katherina and Adora.
As Nocturne/Kitty Claw, she acts more like Toph and She-ra.
Emma picked up playing the piano, so she could be close to her father in a way.

The Price of Fame
Elodie didnāt know what she was getting into when she transformed for the first time. It wasnāt just the pressure of being a hero and the responsibility of an entire city.
It was the lack of privacy.
It started with whispers in the classroom, blurred pictures, comments on videos, then every tv had her masked face on it. Elodie couldnāt stop it, couldnāt stop everyone talking about her. They wanted to meet her, be saved by her, be loved by her. Elodie hated it. It was like a thousand ants under her skin, a thousand hands pulling at her from all directions, a thousand eyes burning into her skull.
Ruby Bugās masked face for brands and commercials (but that wasnāt her, they didnāt look like her)
People spreading the craziest theories about Ruby Bug. (None of it was true)
Some of her classmates had crushes on Ruby Bug. (Why? She didnāt look that different in the suit, did she?)
It was Ruby Bug everyone wanted to know, not Elodie.
So why did Elodie feel like they were dissecting her?
Tearing her apart? Digging into her? Consuming her?
How long until there was nothing left of Elodie?

This is also happening to Rue but the only difference is that since she doesn't talk and that her whole face is covered instead of domino mask, the theories and fan love is ten times worse
And don't get her started on the merch and costumes that was made of Jester

Ooooh yeah, thereās so much merch being made of Ruby Bug. Keychains, costumes, plushies, everything. Everywhere Elodie goes, thereās always something with her face on it.
Elodie is extremely uncomfortable by the sight of them, because thatās her face theyāre using, itās her body that is being posed and positioned. But thatās not the only reasonā¦
Itās the wrong face, itās too light.
Itās too pale, her hair is the wrong color, her lips arenāt that red, why are her eyes so narrow? Why is her waist so skinny? She knows that the magic of the mask hides her face, but why does this image of her feel disturbing? And that brings a whole new level of twisted to it.
Itās not herā¦so why are they saying it is?

Why does her costume look like that? Why does it look almost likeā¦ lingerie?
The toys are even worse, while the kid toys are something she can tolerate and maybe like..
Soo.. you know those anime figurines?
I know what figures you are referring to, itās gross. (They probably also make body pillows of them bc of course they would ew.)
Elodie is 14-15 (a minor) and has a somewhat of a flat figure, so seeing certain and exaggerated features on her body (or at least thatās supposed to be her body?) is very, VERY weird to her and makes her even more self conscious.
The costumes donāt help. (Why is there so much skin? Why is one just a spotted bikini? And why is there one that has the s word in front of Ruby Bug?)
Pretty sure she once saw an online auction for strands of her hair and people were bidding for them. Were they even hers? Or did someone just lie and said they were Ruby Bugās and fans bid for them? She had to bleach her eyes with hours of cute cat videos after that.
At that point, itās like looking into uncanny valley (the phenomenon, not the character).
The Ruby Bug everyone sees isnāt even Elodie anymore, itās not Elodie, itās not her.
I wonder if @thefcguy Henri or @vigilante-bardock Nico have to deal with anything like this? In their AU?
Itās complicated in Liarās Legacy. On one hand, there are people who support the new Ladybug Novius, and then there are people who believeās Ladybugās lie on Novius being a thieving imposter.
Anyways, Novius does get merch, and it surprisingly very tame. He gets figurines, that feature him saying really cringy phrases that are actually some guy just saying Ladybugās lines. Sometimes they make figures that redesign his costume entirely, which he doesnāt really mind. Except for the one where heās dressed in a ballet costume. He hates that one.
Now, social media is his actual worse nightmare. Every week there is a new challenge on involving somebody being stupid just to get his attention. (Throwing themselves off a building, intentionally getting akumatized)
And then there are the fans online. Nico has seen some very cursed comments(ranging from āmildly weirdā to āsend this person to prison right now!ā)shipping, and even cursed fan art of him.
Nico swears that if he sees another self ship featuring him and someoneās OC, he will willingly get akumatized and crash out hard.
I m curious to see if @thefcguy Henri has to deal with anything like that?
The fanart and the fanfics that are made on Ruby Bug are cringe and cursed, more than Y/N wattpad fanfics. She knows some of the kids at Dupont probably make them. And everytime she sees someone ship themselves or an OC with her, she gets nauseous.
Elodie is so close to digging her own grave and laying down in it.
On a lighter note, the Spotsverse gang probably gets together at some point and bashes on all the merch of themselves.
Rue wishes she got the cringe and cursed fanfics that Nico and Elodie get but the amount of x Jester smut fic she found had her wanting to drink bleach
(This fact is inspired by the amount of Chat Noir fics I found when Miraculous was first released)

It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fans themselves. Nico could not begin to tell you how many fangirls kept asking to marry him.
You know what's funny?(honestly shouldn't be) Lila/Lady Nova, the adult, would be the least sexualised as she is seen as this pure saint like figure who was entrusted ladybug. Not to say she wouldn't have her fair share of creepy fans, but the media would praise her for being very proper and lady-like.
@catapuskai What about Emma/Kitty Claw? Even when framed and vilified, does she deal with anything similar to this?
Unfortunately, Emma, despite being hated by the majority of Paris, is sexualised.She is viewed as a girl in her mid teens(15-16) when she is actual age is around 13-14(also the leather cat suit does not help).Emma was horrified when she found out people write fics where the reader/yn 'fixes' her.(her fics were so bad, she literally threw laptop in the trashcan one time and catalysmed her memories).
(This reminds me of villain adrien/chat noir fics and how the anime fandom sexualise Lolitas and cat girls. Now feel bad for Emma cause ewwwww). These fics are pretty rare but still....

After all that time, heās finally home.
The reunion were so so rudely robbed off š I still wish their reunion had been more than what we got. Ezra was her first baby.
Since @fayflutter's posted more on her sword fighting villainess idea, and I already had a design ready for the mc, soooo this is for you queen
For the villainess design, I made it as generic as possible(to trick the audience into thinking this would be a standard villainess anime)
For the vigilante design, I gave her an owl themed outfit as owls represent justice and fairness and I gave her a hood (since she is a vigilante and cause Robin hood is an inspiration to her character)
