keep yourself warm

I’m astonished that my period chose to arrive on a day when I was wearing white linen trousers.

I’m on my way to Glasgow! Taking the obscenely long bus instead of train (needlessly expensive) or driving (scary). I’ve already had a nap and we’re still in Fife!! Get me out.

Since a part of my job revolves around webpage building, I really get irked by terrible websites. Looking at the Boots one in particular. Why is it so bad?

Back when I was in school, I was only allowed to play The Sims 2 on the weekend because of ~ the distraction ~ and now even though I am now a grown up and can play whenever I want, I am so deeply conditioned to only being allowed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I was thinking about when I’d have time to play it over the next few days, because of course I couldn’t play it during the week. Girl what!! It is no longer 2004.

Nothing makes me get my arse in gear more than a sold out flight, especially when I realise at midnight! Why did I not just pay for it when I was looking on my lunch break?!

The question is - who am I going to be meeting from here on Tuesday night in Glasgow? 👀👀👀

We had a big summer clear out today at work clearing out the space where we keep our collateral, marketing materials and merch. Not something I do on the regular at all! There was a notable difference in my strength when I was doing all the physical lifting today - the gym is working and makes things easier! I had a heavier box gripped and balanced on my shoulder and my manager remarked that I was giving Crossfit 👀

I bought myself a really nice, very adult, 100% cotton bed set yesterday and I’m so excited to be a big toasty cinnamon bun sleeping in it.

Lol I did the Sunday drawing class but it was just me and the artist (who was lovely btw, no complaints there) but not the great meeting people event that I had pictured. Also drawing is hard af. I drew a statuette of a dog which looked like a cursed old man/dog hybrid, something out of mythology vibes. Humbled real quick there.

Thinking about what else I can do to make me feel alive n’ that so asked some horse people in work where I can go and ride a horse. I was a child the last time I was on a horse! I want to smell the hay and the barn and feel the fuzzy texture of the helmet and my feet pushing down in the stirrups. Maybe I’ll book a lesson for next month??
