WYLL RAVENGARD in BALDUR'S GATE III (2023)
Le Monocle was a famous lesbian club that opened in Paris in the 1920's. At the time, Parisian lesbians would wear a monocle or a white carnation in the buttonhole so they could be indentified by other girls looking for fun.
In Le Monocle, women would dress as gentlemen, wearing suits, short hair and sometimes hats. For 20 years, it was a place of gathering, entertainment and freedom.
You can find this painting, The Monocle Club, as a print on my new website! Click here!

Laughing at the early banter between Wyll and Shadowheart where he asks if anyone has a sweetheart back home. Shadowheart says something along the lines of âwaiting like a love sick puppy? No, I find short term amusements much less hassleâ
Shadowheart. That is literally the biggest lie Iâve ever heard from you. After one kiss you were calling this whole thing a courtship. You told me two personal things about yourself and said youâve never trusted another person more.

Baldur's Gate 3 - Shadowheart: Cleric of Shar and Mother of Bing Bong the Imp
The final building project of Elizabeth Countess of Shrewsbury, Hardwick Hall is a masterpiece of English renaissance architecture. The home quickly gained recognition, and a popular rhyme, âHardwick Hall, more glass than wallâ was coined shortly after itâs completion. Elizabeth, better known as Bess of Hardwick, was born to a rural gentry family but ultimately became one of the richest women in England through a series of advantageous marriages and clever political maneuvering. While Hardwick Hall was one of Bessâ many grand building projects it was the only home completed while Bess was unmarried. Bess intended to live out her days here with her granddaughter, Arbella Stuart, whom Bess desperately hoped to make queen after Elizabeth I. Built within view of her natal home (third photo), now know as Old Hardwick Hall, the new Hall is a stunning testament to Bessâ dynastic and political ambitions and her incredible rise from obscurity to one of the most notable women in Elizabethan England. The initials âESâ positioned at the top of every rooftop tower ensured there would be no uncertainty as to who was responsible for such a magnificent structure.
