it's a shame for many reasons that jack's role in me3 is so limited, but honestly i wish we got to see more fall out of what appears to have been a fraught breakup that happened between her and shepard when shepard turned themselves into the alliance. when you meet up at grissom academy, it is made pretty clear that she has spent the last six months living on mad at you island. considering her past experience and relative insecurity around relationships, her anger at shepard for walking away, regardless of the context, makes a lot sense, but there's also just something super interesting about her refrain of "you could have stayed" and her questioning if going to the alliance actually helped at all (it didn't), and her bitterness that "the reapers are your one true love." we have such little time with her in this game, we don't really get to see a meaningful resolution to that anger (or, frankly, much of her emotional state regarding cerberus' attack on the academy and overall role in the war, which i cannot imagine is good) but i love the fact that she is angry. and even when she's living on mad at you island she still goes and gets a tattoo for shepard. it's really fun relationship complexity to chew on
