A Forbidden Alchemy was so good it put me into a reading slump.

Took a break from reading but I finished A Forbidden Alchemy and it may just be my favorite book of all time. Well, one of them, but nonetheless I haven’t read anything that good in FOREVER. Stacey McEwan, I tip my hat to you.

Thinking about how Clary and Jace might be doomed by the narrative…

I recently finished In the Veins of the Drowning by Kalie Cassidy and it was honestly a good read! It was very fast paced so I devoured it pretty quickly, which didn’t bother me as much as it usually would, but there were a few things that nagged me. For one, I’d say that there were sooooo many questions that I kept asking with little to no answers. Hopefully the second book does, but the world building felt rushed at times. I also loved Theo and Imogen’s relationship, but I would not recommend this to anyone who does not like insta-love, because that’s quite literally what happened. I’m not usually a fan of that either. But I’m learning that I’m more of a mood reader nowadays and it turns out that I was in the mood for insta-love! This book also had a horror-like element to it, which I deeply appreciated. Horror is my jam, although I don’t talk about that much on this page, if at all. Also! Imogen wasn’t annoying! Yay! Anywayz! Stay tuned fellas!
