i get annoyed by people lowballing me on depop too but i saw someone who in their shop rules says “lowballing makes me suicidal and you don’t want to make me suicidal, right?” like. excuse me. i dont think that is a fair business strategy
How dare yall leave these in the comments.
a lot of people on here are apparently seething, foaming at the mouth, champing at the bit to apply transphobic tropes to cis people who use hrt.
a cis woman using t to attain bottom growth has not done anything to harm you. a postmenopausal cis woman taking t for libido has no harmed you. if you talk about it as being disgusting and degenerate, you're just echoing the transphobic ideas that are normally leveraged against trans people. Why do you think this is the right thing to do?
I think a lot of trans people on here don't seem to have done any work to throw away underlying transphobic beliefs about the world. Instead, they've affixed that trans ness is a justifying excuse that gives them and the right type of trans people special allowances to do something that genuinely would otherwise be wrong and disgusting and degenerate.
That's bullshit. Everyone should be allowed full bodily autonomy—yes, including cis people. If you are disgusted and angry that someone is exercising that autonomy in a way you find frivolous or degenerately sexual, that's really genuinely a sign you should take a step back and reexamine whether you've got some leftover trash cluttering up your brain. Might be worth doing some spring cleaning.
HRT was designed for cis people.....
I get it guys, I do, but let's think about it, how did we get here? What echochamber did we fall down to get to this belief that I'm not sure most people have thought about long enough to form an opinion on, let alone be angry about.
Hormone Replacement Therapy was initially (and most commonly still is) used to level hormones if somone was going through menopause, because it decreased the risk of different organ failures and dementia from the body slowing down with age. Birth control also hormone replacement, many athletes who are using 'steroids' are in some way manipulating their hormones, it can help the impact of hyperthyroidism, aid in surpressing certain cancers, and men who want to stop balding, are using hormones before it starts to happen, if you want to get technical with it, taking insulin to treat diabetes is HRT, but none of you care about that because it doesn't have to do with gender.Medicine tends to have many different uses and solves many different problems with the same thing used different ways and many people use it, the way they find out if it works often times by the exploitation of marginalized communitiesI.
I am worried here that this comes from a lack of interest or knowledge of what happens in the human body and that maybe we should also take a look at where our information is coming from, when trans people are less than 2% of the population and skew to be under 30, does it make sense that they, in this incredibly transphobic world would be the people primarily using hormones? That they were the one group who got researched and actually got something good out of it? When it's a fact that poor women, often Black and Brown were the ones who who were used as test subjects in labs, the same sort of women who founded our current ideas of gender, sex, love, and protest, within the queer community.
Does it make sense to further exclude one group of people and say this treatment is only for you, when we do this, we mirror transphobia already in society, by excluding them from their cis counterparts who are going through something similar, could this not in some world, be a bonding experience for the two groups, because guess what a cis woman going on Estrogen may also be happy with the growth of breast tissue, shocker. And so what if she were going on Testostorone instead, her reasoning is just as important as your own and she doesn't have to give it to you as much as you don't have to give yours, this is where autonomy comes in.
When we make these assumptions, we erase trans history, yes, but we also perpetuate misogyny, racism, and ablelism, which are what make up transphobia, when we do this we say that it is okay to not learn about our bodies or about women's bodies, because they don't matter, and that scares me, you deserve the opportunity to research the medication you are on and the history of how it came to be used on you, you deserve to understand how it works and who else uses it, I didn't think anyone needed to point this out, but you don't get to decide who is worthy of healthcare and who isn't, we fall back onto ablelism when we do that.
I know that it's hard to find verified information, but let me tell you, in the year of 2026, there are so I many books talking about reproductive systems, trans bodies and specifically vulva/vaginal health and I really think it would be useful for everyone to crack open a book and learn, to help as an ally to women, disabled people, people of color and queer people like yourself, go to the library, but someone's book, go on Internet archive, pirate it, just read the HRT Wikipedia at this point, I promise you education is the way to fight this one, here are some recommendations: You Know, Sex by Cory Silverburg, Vagina Obscura by Rachel E. Gross, Welcome to Your Period by Yumi Stynes, The Booby Trap and Other Bits and Boobs by Dawn O'Porter, Tits Up by Sarah Thornton.
This list isn't everything, but it's on different reading levels and covers a wide range of topics, don't let ignorance be the thing that stops you from thinking critically.

the ideal media diet for a child is books and music from at least fifty years ago so they are always out of touch with the references and allusions of their peer group
escape rooms would mean more to me if they actually tied you to chairs or released some sort of creature. like what’s the point otherwise. where’s the incentive. how is it fun

you have to be in a certain specific mood to listen to classic rock because sometimes a guy is playing his guitar and you're just like shut the fuck up man

it's okay to draw for glory. don't let anyone convince you that art has to be a hobby. you don't have to rest or take breaks. if you feel yourself hitting a wall feel free to lose sleep over the process. you can forgo friendship if you need to. it's completely fine to want your art to win you immortality through your influence and canonization as a master. you don't have to take it easy

1. borrowing misery from future
2. carrying grief of the past
3. agonizing over the present
i told myself i would never drink and then i changed my mind right before i turned 21, i had one (1) small drink on my 21st birthday and then the next week i was put on a medication where if i drink i will ruin my organs so i don’t think the fantasies i had as a young girl of being an alchoholic depressive gay male playwrite in the 1960s are going to work out for me
