he knows something is coming, but won’t tell commander what and it’s almost like even he doesn’t know, or that it’s just an inkling. He doesn’t listen when the commander tries to talk him out of getting Ancora, explaining that there are other ways he merely hangs up

And then the “You don’t see the necessity of my path yet” which tells me that he definitely knows more than he’s letting on, and “you’re results orientated, always have been.” He acts like he’s known us forever, but this is the first time we’ve met him. So either he stalked us since the start or there’s truth to that astral ward theory

personally, I have a feeling the big thing that’s coming that he wants to ascend for is something related to the Seers, maybe the seneschals? If you talk with the Weald Seneschal after the meta it says you wonder what it was like before the seers did whatever they did

I wonder if Vloxx himself will become a seneschal, or - following the theory someone else made about him ascending the commander - try and turn the commander into a seneschal.

I don’t know, Vloxx seems to be really hard to pin down and I think that’s why I like him as an antagonist, his motives aren’t clear yet and that intrigues me. There’s something about it that I can’t place.

Each expansion’s name has had some significance to the story. Heart of Thorns? We went into the heart of the jungle to fight the jungle dragon. Path of Fire? We followed Balthazar into the desert and fought him, his whole thing is war and fire. Icebrood saga speaks for itself, it’s about Jormag(and Primordus), Secrets of the obscure? We learnt about the heart of the obscure and the secrets inside. Janthir Wilds? We sure did go to the wilds of Janthir. So.. where does Visions of Eternity tie into this?

I love how Vloxx 100% knew Sebb was going to die when fighting the Commander. That pause before "Take your time", mans knew exactly what he was doing. Based on Sebb's reputation we know he is a mad scientist freak and probably got to his position through very violent means, but Vloxx still had faith the Commander would win.

When the secondborn start exploring Tyria and the sylvari become more widely known, a rumor goes around that they can speak to regular plants.

Then Canach gets stopped by a random woman who asks if he could speak to her plants.

Canach, deciding to roll with it for shits and giggles: Yeah, sure.

Woman, gesturing to a dying vegetable garden: Please, kind sir, tell me why my poor plants are dying.

Canach pretends to listen: They’re wailing in agony.

Woman: Oh!

Caithe, who was bribed by Rytlock: Indeed, and they’re quite the gossips. The garden in the palace courtyard particularly so.

Logan: What.

Caithe: The things they’ve told me about Queen Jennah. Scandalous.

Imagine the Commander being so relieved to go to the Dragon Bash Festival and just RELAX. Eat candy, smash pinatas, bet on moas. 

But when they arrive they don’t immediately notice the big holographic dragon flying around Hoelbrak. And when they do they instantly flinch and reach for their weapons. It takes them a moment to realize it’s just a hologram. There’s no danger here. 

But every time it flies overhead they twitch and keep eyeing it like it might come to life. It makes their skin crawl. They walk with a stiff back until it disappears from their view for a time. They are constantly watching the sky in their peripheral now.

They try to have a good time. And succeed all things considered. They know it’s a hologram. They know it’s harmless and all in good fun.
