Body Horror: Things that cannot happen in real life. EX: The Thing, stomach mouths, eyes on hands, etc

Gore: Fresh injuries, often severe. EX: Severed leg, gutspill, deep gashes, etc

NEITHER: Healed injuries and burns, congenital differences, missing appendages, etc. If I could theoretically go to the store and see that character browsing the isles- It isn't body horror or gore. That's just a person. *AND the amount of people that tag, not just fictional characters, but real human beings as body horror is staggering. Its not solely a fandom issue, ableism and bigotry against anyone that looks sufficiently "different" is prevalent in real life and has devastating consequences.

Anakin: i had a dream where she was dying in childbirth, and last time I dreamed that someone I loved died, it was my mom, and she died, sooooo

Cody: ok first of all, I GAVE YOU SO MANY CONDOMS HOW THE FUCK IS SHE PREGNANT, and second of all, does her obgyn notice anything wrong with her health?

Anakin: ahhhhh we haven’t seen a doctor, just med droids

Anakin: ok, we saw a doctor, but they said everything looks fine. I also asked Yoda and the Chancellor for advice

Cody: what did they say?

Anakin: Yoda said I shouldn’t be sad if she dies. Palpatine said I should become a Sith Lord and use the dark side of the Force to save her. I’m not sure that’s what I should do, but I trust the Chancellor, and I really don’t want Padme to die.

Cody: …Anakin, you are going to get on the ground and do pushups until you can tell me exactly how stupid the words that just came out of your mouth are

Anakin: gee, thanks for helping me defeat the Sith Lord, Obi-Wan

Obi-Wan: no problem. just wondering, why did you spend the entire fight roundhouse-kicking him instead of using your lightsaber?

Anakin: uhhhh Cody’s been showing me some stuff

Anakin: Also he made me do a couple thousand pushups yesterday so my arms are really tired

Anakin: Cody, Padme and I are going to have another wedding, since we’re going public, and we’re going to invite all our friends and family this time

Anakin: And Obi-Wan’s going to be my best man, but I was wondering, since my Mom can’t do it… would you walk me down the isle?

Cody, tearing up: I would be honored

At the wedding:

Cody, with only a marginal idea of how weddings are supposed to go: *handcuffs Anakin and frogmarches him down the isle to Padme* here ya go, Senator

Anakin, also with minimal wedding experience: *smiling like an idiot*

Padme: …thanks?

Anakin, low-key crying: Obi-Wan, Cody, look! Twins! This is Luke, and this is Leia

Obi-Wan: They’re adorable, Anakin

Cody: *nods to the twins* Cadets.

Anakin: Luke, Leia, this is your uncle Obi-Wan. *baby burbling noises* … And this is your Grandpa Cody.

Cody: Why does he get to be an uncle?

Anakin: He’s like a brother to me. Also kinda like a father. But mostly a brother. And you’re the one who decided you were my stepdad.

Cody, having a miniature crisis: i’m only fourteen, I’m too young to be a grandfather!
