Background: guild artisan (blacksmith)
Family: their mother almeia, whose bloodline is the source of freedom's magical abilities, left their family when they were eight. she has been missing ever since, nobody knows where she is. their father karris is a blacksmith who, as far as freedom knows, still lives in their hometown. together with their twin sister nacria, they ran away from home at age 16 and ended up in baldur's gate. nacria was murdered there three years later.
Birthplace: a rural town by the mountains between the sword coast and elturgard
Phobias/Fears: loss. freedom digs their claws in and clings to the people they love like they could disappear at any moment. they are also afraid of using fire magic and of pigeons. the fire magic thing is linked to a traumatic memory, the pigeons thing is not. they just freak them out for some reason.
Hobbies: gardening, designing new jewelry and weapons, playing with their cat alenne, experimenting with new ideas, dancing, socializing and meeting new people, being within 3 feet of astarion at all times
Currently: pickling vegetables from their garden
Alignment: chaotic good. they do genuinely care about other people and hate violence, but they're also very impulsive and impatient.
Flaws: as stated above, theyre impulsive asf, as well as quite emotionally guarded. they refuse to acknowledge when something is wrong and hate accepting help. this extends to being very non-confrontational as well- if they are upset with someone, they're not going to bring it up or try to work things out. they will just let it fester. they're also extremely codependent and do not know how to have healthy relationships with other people.
Virtues: freedom is a pacifist who will go out of their way to help other people whenever they can. they're really gentle and good with children and animals especially. they're also quite charismatic and can make friends with just about anyone. they're good at diffusing tension and stopping fights.
