You are probably wonder why I am interested in Mormonism despite being Catholic and it is mostly because I see a lot of similarities with my Catholic upbringing. For example, much like the Mormons, we also have extra books we follow (Judith, Tobit, Sirach, Wisdom, Maccabees etc.) that other Christians call fanfiction. The church hierarchy is also very similar (though bishops for us are more the equivalent of stake presidents which might be a bit confusing). We also have a lot of weird stuff like the belief in transubstantiation and a lot of weird ritualistic stuff that Protestants find weird and cultish much like the stuff found in temples. I can definitely go on.

You know that game called "The Corrupted Wish Game" That was played on forums back in the day where one person wishes for something then the next poster grants the wish, but something goes wrong then they wish for something and the chain keeps going?

Even though the food pantry I go to is run by Catholics, the local Mormons donate a lot to it. I am very familiar with the Deseret Farms brand and I must say, the condensed tomato soup tastes just like Campbell's and their beans are rice is also good.

I haven't seen this mentioned on the internet at all, but apparently Wizards of the Coast made this game for girls called Star Sisterz where you do truth or dare cards to collect charm bracelets. My friends and I were REALLY into it and we had parties every time someone got a lot of them. You could find the packs of them at Limited Too it was amazing, but nobody knows it exists. It suffered the two-year curse many TCGs did and completely vanished, but I really, really loved it! I still have my charm bracelet plus my friend's charm bracelet that I connected mine to since she died in a car crash to remind me of her. (Ignore the charms with color, those aren't Star Sisterz)

All of the articles that talk about how young adults are drinking less tend to forget the fact that a lot of them are on medication which they can't drink without ill effects. My husband never drank because of that reason and I don't see that talked about a lot in the discussion on why young adults are drinking less. Also, a lot of medication especially antipsychotics makes people fat and I also don't see that factor discussed at all either when people ask why people are fatter. Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about that because even "weight neutral" antipsychotics still have a chance in some people to make them gain a ton of weight, especially if it is the only ones that work. Source: I take Latuda which is supposed to be weight neutral, but it just made me balloon up even more and I can't take anything else.

I always sort of sucked at masking. Though I guess I might have sort of done some form of it in my adolescence.

What I really hated growing up was the insistence by the adults that if music was to be used as a coping mechanism, it MUST be soothing classical music. nothing else would do. I HATED that music and it didn't calm me down at all. What really got me out of a bad mood and meltdown was that upbeat techno music of the 2000s, but I am convinced they wouldn't let me listen to it because they thought it was too "inappropriate" for school or something even though there were no bad words or anything. Like, no matter what kind of music you play to calm yourself down, if it works, it works!

I remember as a kid I had this therapist I reeeeeeeally hated and one day I decided to do the opposite of what he said so when he was teaching me guided meditation and basically said "imagine you are on the beach and all the sudden you start floating through the air" or something like that while he was playing soothing classical music, I wasn't paying attention, I figured the opposite of that was this edgy scene of me going down underground into the pits of Hell slaying demons while metal music was playing. When I informed them I basically thought the opposite of what he told me to think he was like.
