oh that’s a hard question… i think trails in the sky sc is probably my favorite trails game overall, but i really like that whole trilogy! the remake of the first game is also excellent and i’d highly recommend it as an easy entry point. 🙂↕️
trails into reverie is also way up there in my favorites, though! it is very much not a good entry point, however, as it’s essentially the climax to the crossbell duology + the cold steel quartet. it also has probably my favorite version of the strictly turn-based battle system!
as far as favorite characters go, i’m kind of #basic: estelle, joshua, renne, and olivier are easily my favorite characters in the series, but i do still really like the rest of the main casts of characters! OH AND FIE. god i fucking love fie. that’s my girl…
