i am a victim of incest. i do not believe incest can exist without unhealthy power dynamics, in 99.9999% of situations. no family doesnt have power dynamics & an inner hierchy. its not worth the many victims to have a rare 'technically incest' relationship.

obviously, in the hypothetical that two people are technically related, but never met in childhood and never grew up in the same families and meet later on, it would be neutral in my mind. i dont believe in soulmates or 'one true love' and so in that scenario, i struggle to understand why exactly someone wouldnt just.. get over it and find someone else, but whatever..

incest leads to rape and abuse in majority of cases. unhealthy power dynamics in relationships leads to abuse. if someone is raised as siblings with someone else, i dont beleive they would have feelings for that person without some kind of outside interfierance.

i hear a lot of arguments about this but i, frankly, dont care enough to try and 'open my mind' about it. i dont think about this often. at the end of the day, i dont matter. im just some guy on tumblr. do what you want
