if you are in any way religious/spiritual/a believer, look into how your faith can interact and intersect with being russian. are you a christian? if so, do you follow the russian orthodox church? do you know about various other branches of christuanity that formed in russia? or maybe you're mormon/LDS. i know there are WILD stories of mormons in russia. are you muslim? Islam is the second biggest religion in russia btw. what mosques you would like to visit in russia? does your ethnicity factor into that? there is SO MUCH history to explore and learn. learn about the history of Crimean tatars. by the way im NOT saying Crimea is a part of russia. fuck that. but religious history isn't tied only to state borders. are you buddhist? do you know about where in russia bhuddism is most widely practiced? and other questions! the same goes for pagans and any other spirituality. if it exists, there is a huuuuge chance it also exists in russia. look into that.
