"Damn it all, Cromwell, why are you such a... person? It isn't as if you could afford to be." He waits, smiling. He knows what the duke means. He is a person, he is a presence. He knows how to edge blackly into a room so that you don't see him; but perhaps those days are over.
Wolf Hall, Hilary Mantel

"Same Actor btw" but remember that the guy who narrates Bing, who played Cromwell in Wolf Hall and had real sex in Intimacy are the same actor.
Mark actually plays Flop, Bing's level-headed side kick who utters soothing words of advice. I have a pair of Flop socks.
But yes, Mark Rylance played all three parts.

Still from the 1956 movie version of Moby Dick, with Gregory Peck as Captain Ahab and the Gorn as Starbuck.
i went through my stills and this one is honestly a masterpiece.. i mean LOOK AT HER FACE iâve been laughing at this for five minutes now lmao
A million fan fiction writers may cry, but I must speak this truth: Fitzwilliam Darcy will be the kind of father who gives his children a handshake at Christmas and that is their allotment of physical affection for the year
As written by Jane Austen: Hard agree. That's accurate upper class English behavior.
As acted by Colin Firth: Hard agree.
As acted by Matthew Macfadyen? That man is touch-starved. All of Elizabeth's pregnancies scare him to death. Each time she survives childbirth he carries those children around Pemberley like they're his collection of purses; you'll never see him without one.
Mathew Rhys Darcy kisses his kids on the forehead as he tucks them in...

television history
iâve been trying to explain this sketch to people for years
there is literally no way to explain this sketch itâs just a thing you have to see and even then Iâm not sure why itâs so funny
âDear Sisterâ is the rare SNL sketch making fun of a specific pop culture moment that transcended the thing it is a satire of. No one remembers the OC but the sketch is still wonderful regardless.
So Iâm sure the lore is in the notes but here it is reconstructing from the rusty leaking trap of my memory: the Canadian show Degrassi used this music cue when the character Drake got shot. The OC used it in the exact same way the following year in an episode when Marissa shoots Trey. They also used different parts of this same song earlier in the episode at Calebâs funeral. Actually connecting it to the the running theme of death/endings through the episode.
and SNL finally was just like enough already with the âHide and Seekâ
