Ghosts of the Valley
My new grindcore band Assassination Coordinates
this tweet's gonna explode when he gets assassinated for real
Like to charge, reblog to cast
thing is, there are some drag shows that kids shouldn’t be at. hell, I’ve performed in some drag shows that specifically didn’t allow anyone under 19 (usually in bars). and that’s ok. drag is a wide spectrum of art and sometimes the performances are fun and colourful and designed to be appropriate for kids (like drag story time, which I’ve also done) and sometimes they are meant to only be seen by adults. that doesn’t make them inherently harmful to children any more than other art forms. movies, music, shows, books, all of these things have similar kid-friendly and not-kid-friendly designations. the fact that they are being attacked is simply due to homophobia and transphobia, and nothing else.
so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
okay so i just got my dream job??? a week after applying to it?? and now i’m thinking….maybe this is the good luck post
…..not even six hours later i got an offer of a well paying full time long-term job with free room and board in queens in nyc, allowing me independence and a way to escape an abusive situation and an unhealthy environment
likes charge reblogs cast, folks, this is the good luck post
Good Luck Post do your thing!!!

since I’ve spoken to a few different people who were disappointed by the outcome of the elections, especially people who haven’t voted in many elections previously, and so were surprised to hear this: y’all, this election actually went shockingly well for the democratic party. as a rule, the sitting president’s party does not do well in midterms, especially the first midterm after that president is elected. this is the best a sitting president’s party has done in the midterm in twenty years. the last time it went this well for the sitting president’s party was 2002, when the republicans were still riding the post-9/11 jingoism wave. in the first midterm after obama was elected, the democratic party lost 63 house seats; last I checked the nyt’s final projection for them to lose this time was somewhere in the neighborhood of 12.
yes, it sucks that we’re likely losing the house and it sucks that the senate is still up in the air and it super sucks that the democrats have basically given up on bothering to campaign in florida. but losing the house was always likely and we have not lost it by nearly as much as we were predicted to, and honestly, without a filibuster-proof majority, even having both chambers of congress isn’t a guarantee of being able to get much done there. there are definitely disappointments, but this is nowhere near a disaster. ultimately, from what I can tell, there are a lot more republicans disappointed by this election than democrats, because this was supposed to be a massive blowout for the republicans and it very much has not been. like, at all.
again I am not saying there are not things to be disappointed by, and it sucks immeasurably that we have to take “this didn’t go as badly as it could have” as a victory, but also, it really, really is a victory. at the very least, it’s not a flat-out defeat, and there are a lot of reasons not to feel despair. the smaller, state-level victories are not as flashy and dramatic as the higher-profile ones like the house or senate, but they’re extremely important, and will make a huge difference in a lot of people’s lives — in many cases a greater difference, day-to-day, than the senate or house elections will make. it’s really important not to lose sight of these wins.
(personally, what was really keeping me up at night was a) abortion referendums and b) the number of 2020 election deniers who were running for state- or local-level seats that would have put them in the position of being in charge of election administration in 2024 and beyond, making it much easier for them to rig future elections. well, republicans have pretty soundly gotten their asses handed to them on both counts, which is fan-fucking-tastic. like I said, these are not necessarily the things that get a lot of attention on the national level, but they’re so, so important and will make a big difference for a lot of people in the coming years.)
listen.
you know what happened local to me, in just one race?
a White Christian Nationalist who was attempting to criminalize gender-affirming care and who denied reproductive autonomy across the board lost the governor’s race.
Among lots of other things, this means that my spouse and I don’t have to pack everything we own and move to a different state for the safety of our child. It means our child’s in-process legal name & gender-marker change will go through instead of possibly being denied.
That’s not big and flashy and national news, but it’s far from nothing.
it's important to me that queendeath jokes come not from a place of online community or coming together to laugh at her but from a place of profound and viscous hatred for her and every member of her digusting family. for all the deaths by her hand and in her name, deaths that will only increase as the government cracks the eugenical whip.
dont just have fun with the jokes, enjoy the fact that that witch has died. a tyrant is dead. they will starve millions of us for her funeral. we cannot let her rest undefiled. this is what hatred is for, let it energize you. if you are in america or canada or somethere else, this will not affect you directly. remember those who will die this winter.

The devil speaks:
Sex is supposed to be pleasurable and you're supposed to be attracted to your partner. It's okay to be have some mediocre or awkward sex because you're both not giving it your best, because you're tired or feeling self conscious. Or you might figure out during sex that you're not really attracted to the person or they are doing a bad job. Hopefully you both stop and just call it a night. But if you've never been attracted to your partner and they've never given you pleasure, you need to stop having sex out of obligation and reevaluate things! Completely removing sexual attraction and pleasure from sex is misogynist and homophobic. It only benefits men and bigots. Do you know how long the patriarchy and religious institutions have this been telling women, gay people in general and lesbians in particular that sex is a duty to your partner and not something you're supposed to enjoy with a person you're attracted to. Everytime women left men because they were neglecting their sex pleasure and homosexual people left het relationships to be with the people they were actually attracted to, it took guts and bravery! This should be celebrated! Removing pleasure and attraction from sex is like removing the nutrition and satiation factor from food, you can eat and eat but you'll never be full and you'll rot from the inside out. Sex can happen without pleasure or attraction but it shouldn't!
imagine if people posted about the US like china and north korea. "nice picture, love the landscape (FYI I do not support the war crimes of the US government I just think this picture is nice!)"
it's kind of nuts how many people on here say they are critical of America, but retain these impossibly strong American puritanical values.
I've talked to so many liberals who were horrified by the idea of communal baths and freak out when I talk about going to Korean bath houses or a nudist hot springs where gasp, children can see naked bodies of all genders. Like, you are the weirdos if you think grandma's tits are an issue, that's you problem my American friends.
Nudity is not inherently sexual and sexual things are not inherently bad. In fact, seeing a bunch of naked old people growing up probably helped me resist the ubiquitous problem of body issues as a teenage girl. If you see enough saggy ass you realize we're all headed to the same place and also secondarily, if you watch them playing naked volley ball you also no longer afraid to die.
me when i me when
I fucking hate that Tweet that's like "these women in Mexico tried to burn down the Presidential Palace and then a few days later the government gave in and legalized abortion," it's so insanely condescending for you as someone from the US to look at the (massive and militant!) Mexican feminist movement and their decades of life-threatening work and be like "they rioted once and then their problems were solved"
That's not what happened at all! The photo going around with that Tweet was taken at an International Women's Day protest, months before the Mexico City abortion protests! They didn't just show up one day! A national court ruling decriminalized abortion but it is still illegal in much of Mexico, and activists are still fighting for it right now!

Tying health care to people’s ability to work is eugenics.
i hope the women who post and tweet about being ‘real victims’ as opposed to the (invented) epidemic of all the other ‘fake victims’ know that being a class traitor is not going to save them
