Summary: Once upon a time, there lived a Prince of Light and Darkness. Without Darkness, Light can't shine. And without Light, Shadow can't be shaped. This is the story of how they intertwined in fate.
(I'm currently on KH fever rn so yeah lol. This came from a shower thought that since everything has a heart, can Darkness, like the literal sentient being that it is, have one? And since Darkness can be conquered, that means they can be tamed right? lol)
Once upon a time, there lived a radiant light shining down upon the earth. It illuminates the world, giving them shapes and colors under its radiance glow. Though soon shadows grow. Underneath the colors emerge a shade of dark, blackening what was once shine. Worried the darknesss would spread further, the light dispersed into 7 parts. It maintains the world order, balancing the influence of dark among the light.
For the being called darkness, they are enraged by this. Their livelihood felt threatened, terrorized in rights to live in a shared world. Because of this, it sent out an army towards the light, declaring war to obtain their place in the world once again. The darkness is wicked. The grow with each attack they execute. Their arm evolve their fangs and claws, sharper that it shreds the earth apart.
In retaliation, a group of strong light is trained to ensure their position as the ruler of the world, protector of all, remains victorious in all of their battles. The Light Council is the name given, the beacon of hope to bring glory through heaven. With 7 members to keep the world in order, they work in tandem to preserve peace and prosper.
The most notable figure of the era is the 7th Prince of Light. Their heart is absence of any darkness, the perfect representation of lightness all around. He has etched his name as the kindhearted man he is. With a heart so gentle and warm, he spreads them without any discrimination within the hiearchy, ignoring any barrier that separates them inbetween. Although his body is fragile and weak, unable to endure long hours of vigorous activity, it was never a hindrance to his goal of eternal tranquility.
But the darkness wears a mask to deceive with malicious intent. Knowing that the prince never being frugal, charitable in his gift of kindness, he tries to lower his guard and strike him down. With him out of the picture, the Light council will be absence of their most prominent prodigy. They will be in disarray, shambles for another light as influental as his. And so the entity called Darkness transformed itself into the shappe of a human, wearing the skin of an innocent commoner. Thus began his acting for vengeance against the light that shun it away.
The forseeable events didn't unfold. The Darkness didn't consume their beloved Prince of Light. Instead, the Darkness bathed in his illumination. His light is different compared to the others. Unlike the prickly sharp and blinding ray that often ache once perceive, the prince's light is contrast of everything it has ever known of light. The prince's light is warm. It's gentle, soft like the touch of a soothing cloud. It is comforting, a sweet dream that sing a serene lullaby for a peaceful slumber. It is accepting, allowing Darkness to finally stand on the same ground as the lights always been.
The two's friendship blossom. Each venture the world hands in hands, seeing how the world is built from both their paint of bright and dim. Colors each etched the world in angles and corners, sharp turn and curved edges never missed. Their journey around the world is self-assured, ensuring the universe run its operation without trouble.
Unfortunately their peaceful days didn't last long. The Prince is casted aside by the council, dubbing him as the traitor. His friendship with the Darkness is seen as malice and in return, he is banished into a prison of interdimensional plane with no escape. Furious, Darkness shrouded the land in its rage. Its anger painted the world dim, stealing its color shifting into nothing but monochrome hue. It searches for a way to bring his Light back, but even as an imminent being of mighty immortal, he is powerless without the light to assist ins his search.
With a plan organized for an implementation, Darkness has broke itself into 13 pieces. To effectively search for his beloved friend, and to absorb the power of the light as its own. It will slither into their hearts, conquering it as it devour all content, assimilating their experiences and strength as its own. Using their illuminous prowess against them, fighting with equal scale of potency, the light finally struggles to eliminate the void from drowning them in nothingness. Their numbers dwindle. Their existence almost extinct, none survives the Darkness's wrath. Only a few left, and even they are weak to eliminate the dark into a definite erasure.
Darkness remain a threat to the world. It still sinks its fangs into the bloodstream of the land, poisoning it with its lethal miasma to weaken the heart and ruin the light. Until his prince return to its side, it will ruin the light that betrayed the Prince's kindness with treachery. It will destroy what they build for leaving the Prince in desolate loneliness. It will never grant them peace, for expelling the one light that it adores in the entirety of its existence. They will pay for their insolent hypocrisy. And Darkness won't stop until he gets his belove Prince back.
"You should create for yourself" and "it's okay to feel discouraged when creating your own original projects if no one interacts with them" are two sentences that should be able to co-exist with each other
On the one hand, you should kill that capitalist in your head that tells you to make art only for the enjoyment of other people. On the other hand, it's totally fine to be disappointed that you spent hours or even days on something that only got 4 notes. You can feel both ways.
how did it take me THIS long to realize that Tails watching Sonic get launched out an escape pod and "DIE" is supposed to mirror Shadow in the escape pod watching Maria DIE???

I was depressed. A lot of things happened, and I'm tired I guess.
Naturally a lot of things passed my mind, like a nonstop carousel rotating on loop. About my future, what I am, and why I'm here.
We have a chandelier at home, in the living room to be precise, but details. It's a bit short as a traditional chandelier but it does its job well.
(Don't ask why we're sleeping in the living room. It's a family thing.)
In the dimly lit of this space, I can't help but stare at the ceiling. Then I see this same chandelier. Isn't it weird how it shines despite there's barely any light? It's shine is eeriely weird but also oddly beautiful in some ways.
Like a discovery of pearls embedded inside a clam's mouth. Or diamonds popped out from the ceiling dirt. Or rows of teeth from a widely open mouth of a monster. Or how close stars may orbit each other that they could collide and create countless black holes. Or how perfect those circles are, undisturbed and never a room for another one to slip in. A complete circumference. A whole.
Oh, I hear the dumpster truck picking up the trash outside. Our silent heroes, making sure the city is clean and prosper. Endure the horrid stench for the betterment of a community that don't even deserved them. I feel weak. Maybe from sleep deprived, but who cares. I just... I guess I just miss my father.

Man, it was fun trying to interpret what a younger Eggman, or I suppose Ivo Robotnik, would look like! If he has a big stache when he's older, why not him having big hair while he still had it?

@sthbigbang 2026!! This year I got to do a piece for @chilicia's fic "Meeting Another You" and it was super fun! I love stuff where enemies (sort of) become friends so I was super excited to get this fic. Summary: Sonic runs too fast in one of his runs again and with too much energy for a jog(in his words), he got transported to who knows where. Upon gaining consciousness, he woke up to find himself in the care of a weird looking teenager. He looks awfully familiar but he seems kind and helpful enough, even have some similarities with Tails, so it's a win for him. They talk and be friends.
Talking with this guy makes him realized he got transferred to the past. So he ask for his help to go back and he's awfully enthusiastic about it. Returning to his home, he sees a lot of familiar looking blueprints. This guy is a passionate inventor and... And... Eggman?! This is him?! Wait, what if he tries to change him? He's a good inventor, just a little mess up. Maybe this is his chance to fix him and have more peace than disaster in the future. Great! Then he won't miss it for the world!
