Master Post for my Kingdom Hearts OCs + a rough summary of my AU
Kingdom Hearts OC Week and all the delicious KH news lately got me realizing I never posted their proper reference sheets and some curious little blurbs on their stories as well as fun factoids on here! So I will be doing exactly that! I'll also be adding this post to my pinned!
These 8 lovely creatures are the main characters of my AU, Kingdom Hearts: Parables. Parables is an alternate timeline/ending of Kingdom Hearts 4 and a retelling of where it sits in the plot as well as featuring some altered elements of origin stories of how certain things operate in KH! I took on a more "mythological" or "fantastical" perspective of certain things and plot points! A lot of references to religious imagery as well (trauma go brrr) and folklore from various places worldwide (Greek, Roman, Norse, Celtic, and even Hebrew and Egyptian tales!). I'm a bit of a mythology and folklore buff so why not incorporate things into my AU. I have also expanded world selection outside of Disney to include classics from Don Bluth as well as DreamWorks!
It's still a major WIP but it's been my passion project for years now (we're deffo getting KH4 before its weird little sister KH:Parables finishes her story aren't we- 😵💫 but the KH animation that's upcoming confirms the existence of multiple canons in the same universe umbrella so really I can take as much time as I need and do WHATEVER THE HELL I WANT WHENEVER I WANT IT TO HAPPEN! 😈).
But I'm probably getting way ahead of myself! Let's meet the central 8 chosen idiots that take the spotlight!

🪽 **Story Summary:** Lufia lived a tumultuous life. Sheltered by her grieving father after the sudden death of her mother, she didn't get a chance at a lot of time outside of her dad's estate. Thus once she came of age she developed a grudge against her father and fled, which lead to her untimely murder as well. After becoming the Nobody Faliux, she had retained a remnant of her heart somehow in this state and emitted energy that resembles that of Kingdom Hearts itself. Thus, Xemnas took her under his vigil, keeping an eye on her as she held something that could potentially get him to his goal. Faliux would climb the ranks, allowed to be initiated as Number "∞" with the signature element of Creation, Faliux prefers to use her voice and diplomacy rather than resorting to brute force to get her points across. Do not be fooled by her peaceful demeanor, though. She harbors a far more fearsome side beneath her pacifist nature, truly akin to an angel of divine judgement. Her Heartless, Mania most reflects this, acting very volatile due to her existence being unstable (and painful). Amber is her best friend since childhood, and together with Koroblynx they form the "Harmony Trio"

Once the heiress of a realm called Tartarus, and Lufia's childhood best friend, her life spiraled when her eldest brother, fueled by ego and envy, claimed the lives of the other siblings and their parents. The fear and rage she felt in her last moments awakened a powerful darkness, which kept her Heartless not much different than how she was before. She would soon rid of her savage brother, however she still felt useless. As a result, she decided to let all worlds feel the same fear she felt in her demise, becoming a ghoul who would poison hearts with darkness by exploiting their worst fears. This power led Ansem, Seeker of Darkness to mentor her as a protégé, her main task being breaking Riku's mind enough for Ansem to take over. Still, even after all this new power and glory, she felt like something was missing. After Ansem’s defeat she fell into despair, but this caused her to reflect on what she lacked and rethink her existence into something more

🛡️ **Story Summary:**
Descendant of an armored hero with powers of nature, Lelandess's lineage has always been one of valor. Her father, Stephen was no exception as Captain of Radiant Garden guard, revered by all. The local kids would accept his daughter as their own, including one that became her best friend, Sirix. However, her mother Yvaine was looming, a vile woman who had coerced Stephen into marriage in order to kill him and steal the birthright, thwarted by Lelandess's birth. She abandoned both, awaiting revenge. It later succeeded, Stephen was killed by her when Lelandess was a teen. Yvaine would then try to break the girl in every way. Until she was grown, Lelandess lived in hell. However, a miracle struck and she escaped. She rebuilt her life from scratch, working to keep her father's legacy alive. Eventually she returned to Radiant Garden and joined the guard in hopes to one day take her dad's spot as captain. Lelandess became popular among the citizens herself, reconnected with friends, and eventually would be blessed with the birthright that Yvaine tried to steal: the gifts of their forefather. Even so, she still struggles with having such a low view of herself that she developed a martyr complex

A descendant of Master Invi, who seeded a lineage cursed with serpent traits. However, they learned to adapt these traits and use their nimble nature to harness energy of the heart, known as "Mana", through rhythmic movements. The now mighty serpent tribe inhabits a tropical island chain. It was taken by Heartless when Sirix was a toddler, costing the life of her brother who gave it so that his people could live. The family eventually found Radiant Garden. Sirix grew up there with her friends, including her closest Lelandess and a boy named Dyme who took a liking to her due to their shared love of music, a tradition deeply rooted in Sirix's culture. Torn from her circle in Radiant Garden's fall, Sirix eventually had to regroup. She fled to Twilight Town where she lived as a performer, yet the cries of her home were calling to her. At first she denied the role as the island's sole savior out of fear. As if to truly sink it in, a hooded man began haunting her, goading her to use rage so she could gain the power of the Keyblade like her ancestor. Instead of letting him win, she rushed to her island to rid the Heartless infesting her tribe's land. Her courage earned her the Keyblade, but one question remains- is she solely fated to continue Invi's work, or can she take a path where she doesn't lose her true self?

Lori came to existence in the stardust of a dove constellation. Once coming of age, she would start her journey to thwart disasters foreseen; the reason she was sent from the stars. Lori bonded easily with the Dandelions, as well as other wielders due to her sunny nature. Lori meshed the most with Lauriam, acting as his biggest ally through the pain of Strelitzia's death and the unfolding conspiracies behind the scenes. Sadly, she soon had to return to the stars, but beforehand, she gave a blessing to Lauriam and a few other friends ensuring they survived the events to come as a last chance to fulfill her duty of being sent from above: to save as many as she can since she couldn't stop the destruction in the end. The second time she visited, she came with her sister Aeterna who was later killed for trying to interfere with another plan. In order to shelter from the same threat, she put herself into a slumbering state until the present era. Awakened, with her now roommate Tuffy's intervention, she bears years of grief and guilt. It came to a dire point when she ran into someone she knew too well, now far astray from who he once was. Just how was she to fulfill her new mission; carry on her sister's legacy (her niece), but also try to save an old friend?

A strange woman in steampunk fashion who seems to have been sent forward in time from a distant past and seems to be trying to get any semblance of her old life back, Tuffy is a kindhearted, wise, strong-willed, and easygoing caregiver type who works as a mechanic in Twilight Town. She is the roommate of Lori, that of whom she freed from her catatonic slumber and decided to become her primary caregiver and moral support, due to them both being from different points in the past. Tuffy seems to have a rather strange life, despite its seemingly idyllic and easygoing state from an outside perspective. For some reason she seems to have a strong connection to the ever-elusive and unknowable Luxord of Organization XIII, as they have been seen communicating on multiple occasions on peaceful terms despite being on opposite sides of a conflict. It seems that their relationship goes even deeper than just an average, on and off connection. Is it some kind of mutual allegiance from opposing lives? It may remain a mystery to this very day. Yet Tuffy always seems to be determined to pursue him, and it appears she thinks he's a keystone to getting her old life back, whatever it takes. Whatever her motive is, the two definitely know each other, and were already acquainted with each other from their respective, mysterious pasts.

🧪 **Story Summary:**
A project of a younger Ansem the Wise, Zuul was created when he mistakenly allowed a heart to come in contact with a powerful darkness. In hopes of not freeing its darkness, he placed the fused heart into a replicated body: the first of its kind. Over time, Ansem conditioned Zuul into repressing his darkness so it wouldn't overtake. However, this led to him developing a split persona; a peaceful soul who is constantly at war with his own heart to keep his other half inside, having no memory of what he does when it takes over. Zuul would eventually gain curiosity in another experiment Ansem was part of creating, yet he hated how she was going to be used as a mere object. He would bond with her with their mutual struggles and eventually help her escape, and doing so helped him see that he could do something other than fight his own existence. Zuul would soon use the unexpected chance that Radiant Garden's fall would bring to his advantage. He'd train himself to live in the unsurvivable conditions that the broken world had, he would build the temperance he needed to not only keep his darkness contained, but to live with it and use it for good. Today, Zuul has returned to being a scientist, conducting studies of the link between the psyche and the heart, using not only his personal experiences, but what that experiment he saved taught him as a motive.

A classified experiment manipulated into existence by Master Xehanort in his apprentice form. Her creation was guided through his hands even after losing his memory via project files he left for use after he took over Terra's body. Koroblynx was created to be not only a weapon of great power, but to hold his DNA within her to be used as a potential failsafe for himself. Koroblynx eventually escaped her fate in the labs with help from another apprentice that grew quite fond of this creation and did not wish to see her be used as a mere object; a young man naned Zuul. Over time, she used her inborn adaptability to learn how to exist as her own independent lifeform, and rooting a deep desire to reach beyond what she was created to do. With the help of those around her, Koroblynx has walked the paths of both light and darkness without bending to either, in part due to her "blank" state of being and imperfect nature of existence. To this day, Koroblynx strives to defy what she was created to do and rise above the status of a mere vessel to be discarded, living to be a symbol of existential revolution. All through the power of what she learned through experiencing and utilizing both light and darkness as one; using her inherently flawed nature to achieve inner balance in spite of it.
